JLTV's Original Program 'A Moment for the Sun' to Air Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8th Through the End of Passover
Every 28 years the sun regains its original starting point position in a traditional celebration and prayer known as Birkat HaChama. As recorded in Genesis 1:16, God created the sun on the fourth day. A solar year is 365 ¼ days long. This computes to 52 complete weeks plus 1¼ days left over. The spiritual significance of the blessing on the sun reminds us to pause and wonder at the miraculous splendor of the natural World. The sun rises and sets every day, like clockwork without fail. So we begin to take it for granted and assume that just like it's always there, it always will be. The sun provides so many benefits including Vitamin D and warmth for our bodies, photosynthesis that supports all life, and more solar energy in one-half hour than all mankind uses in one year. JLTV will broadcast the rising of the sun with commentary by Rabbi Mark about the significance of this every 28 year-old celebration. The first airings are scheduled for Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (EDT).
