JLTV Sports Spotlights the Arrival of American Football in Israel
It's hard to believe that football from the USA, not soccer, has found its roots in the Jewish Homeland. Producers David Alexander and Tamir Elterman head up one of JLTV's Israel production crews and have added another human-interest story to the Chosen Network's original content library. Yes, even the Holy City has its own team, the Jerusalem Kings. The league has five teams this year and will grow to six next year. JLTV Sports Department continues to expand under the leadership of Olympic Gold Medalist Mitch Gaylord. Yad Vashem and Jewish Life's
'Salute To Hollywood' Surpasses Expectations
Last night, emotions ran high as over 700 people participated in the annual 'Salute To Hollywood' presented by the American Society for Yad Vashem and Jewish Life Foundation. The evening honored several feature films and documentaries including Defiance, starring Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber, Adam Resurrected starring Jeff Goldblum, Blessed Is The Match, and Winds of War/War and Remembrance. In addition, 16 Carlsbad High School students (San Diego) produced the documentary We Must Remember, which was screened in its entirety and brought the audience to a resounding ovation. Nearly 100 high school students were in attendance honoring their peers who produced this Holocaust driven documentary along with nearly 100 survivors. Presenters included some of Hollywood's leading actors, directors and producers.
