Galia Albin Joins JLTV International Board of Governors One of Israel's most prominent businesswomen and activist, Galia Albin, has joined JLTV International as one of its select Board of Governors and will take an active, hands-on role in positioning the new network.
Born in Haifa, and a mother of four, Galia founded The Hatikvah Project. Thousands simultaneously sang Israel's national anthem around the world. JLTV broadcast the event as well as Israeli television.
In addition to her business and political expertise, Galia is recognized as one of World Jewry's most outspoken and focused philanthropists. She has led the crusade to advance the cause of women's rights in Israel and around the world. She has been an integral part of organizations like Israel Women's Network, an International judge in the World Women's Forum, and Friends to Combat Violence Against Women. Galia has chaired several important political committees, including Strengthening the Jewish Zionist Identity.
She is known by the masses in Israel for her daily morning TV show, The Club, broadcast on Channel 2. She is past chairperson of the Friends of the Tel Aviv Cinematheque and has published two best-selling books, Love Conquers All and Happiness Triumphs (which was adapted into a movie).
Galia is one of the most respected and astute business leaders in Israel and worldwide. Since 1985, she has been CEO of Almedia Holdings Ltd. - an investment company specializing in finance, real estate, technology and communications. She is a member of several boards of leading public companies.
"JLTV International is honored to have Galia Albin, one of the Jewish world's most prominent figures, as an integral part of the world's first global television station," commented Phil Blazer, the network's President and CEO.
