JLTV TO BROADCAST MARCH OF THE LIVING
LIVE FROM AUSCHWITZ

BMG Logo For the first time in its 20-year existence, the powerful and emotional March of the Living will be broadcast live across North America and around the world on April 21.  Thousands of Jewish teenagers will gather in Auschwitz for the life-altering experience that marks the tragedy of the Holocaust and commemorates the birth of the State of Israel.  The historic JLTV broadcast will also recall the greatness of Polish Jewish life over the centuries and the remarkable beginning of the rebirth of its Jewish community today.

The March of the Living focuses on participants from over 50 countries who will march the two miles between the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau.  The marchers will also include Holocaust survivors and educators.

The nearly three-hour march will be followed by a one-hour ceremony held in Birkenau.  JLTV will interview participants from the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, and other countries.  Over 10,000 are expected to attend. "Those of us involved in this monumental event are excited to have the opportunity to reach out to millions of viewers around the world through JLTV," commented Dr. Shmuel D. Rosenman, International Chairman of March of the Living.

The dramatic broadcast is being produced for JLTV by Carol Stulberg, directed by Igal Hecht along with personal commentary by survivor Branko Lustig (two-time Academy Award winning producer for Schindler's List and Gladiator), who made this journey during the Holocaust.  Lustig also produced Winds of War, War and Remembrance, Sophie's Choice, and many other epic films.

Phil Blazer will report live from Auschwitz and Brad Pomerance will anchor from JLTVs headquarters.

The 24-hour broadcast, which begins at 6:00 AM Eastern time on Tuesday, April 21, will be rebroadcast on Sunday, April 26.
JLTV Building This week JLTV celebrates its second year on the air as America's first full-time, 24/7, Jewish TV outlet.  We are projecting that in early 2009 we will add between 20-30 million new homes. JLTV is now viewed in New York and New Jersey on Time Warner Cable, which has positioned JLTV as one of the nation's viable TV networks. During the past two years JLTV has increased its content library expanding it to over 3,000 features and segments.
