JLTV Announces 12th Annual Jewish Community Day At Dodger Stadium, A Salute to the Maccabiah Games
Next year, 2009, marks the 12th Annual Jewish Community Day at Dodger Stadium. The pre-game ceremony will occur just prior to the game with the San Diego Padres on Sunday, May 3, at 1:00 PM with an average of 50,000 Dodger fans attending the games. JLTV will pay tribute to the estimated 1,000 Americans participating in next summer's Maccabiah Games in Israel.
The Games are held every four years, one year following the Olympics. This years Beijing Games attracted 10,500 athletes. The 2009 Maccabiah event will draw 10,000 athletes, making it the second largest sporting event in the world.
JLTV has been granted the exclusive broadcast rights to the Games, internationally, outside of Israel.
The Jewish Community Day at Dodger Stadium will again feature an introduction of community leaders, including the first pitch and the singing of the National anthem. The event is presented in cooperation with the Synagogue Softball League of Los Angeles. The 12th Annual JLTV sponsored event will focus on the Summer Games in Israel, including a two-minute video presentation for all Dodger fans to enjoy.
