The "Home for the Holidays with Friends Family" promotion ends with this week's drawing, The promotion has been a good one, touching individual's lives in a variety of ways.
This will be the last weekly agenda for 2008. The next one will be in January.
Tickets are on sale now for the Chamber banquet. Also, Table Decoration Sponsorships are now being secured. Response has been good. Details for both are included in this email. Special emails will also be sent.
Chamber members recently received their 2009 Chamber Membership Investment Statements. Membership Investments are the lifeblood of any Chamber. Thank you for your past and future support!

| Home for the Holiday Ends! |
 With this week's drawing the very successful "Home for the Holidays with Family and Friends" comes to an end. $12,000 in Chamber bucks was given to 18 individuals. Recipients of the Chamber bucks represented individuals from a variety of walks of life and well as organizations. Based on tracking, the Chamber bucks are already being spent and in a variety of businesses.
Sponsored by the Chamber's Retail Trades Committee, the promotion was designed to create an enjoyable shopping experience in Weatherford during the holiday season. The Retail Trades Committee will meet in early January to evaluate the program and make plans for the 2009 promotion. Thanks to everyone who has responded to the 2008 promotion. | Did your business sponsor a Community Coffee in 2009? If you did, you have the right of first refusal for 2009 dates! You have until January 15 to secure your 2009 date. After January 15, the dates will be open to any interested Chamber member.
If you did not sponsor a 2008 Community Coffee and would like to do so, just give us call, tell us the month and will put your name on the waiting list.
First Community Coffee of 2009 is January 8 at the Weatherford Library. See you there!

| Banquet Tickets On Sale Now |

Tickets are on sale now for the 2009 Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet. The banquet is set for Thursday, January 22, 2009, at SWOSU's Ballroom. Tickets are $40 per person and on sale now! This year each ticket will be entered into a a drawing for a prize to be given away at the conclusion of the banquet. No additional purchase is necessary to enter the drawing. Individuals attending the banquet will be asked to sign the back of their ticket before entering the banquet. The winner will some lucky individual attending the banquet!

In addition to celebrating the successes of your Chamber, the banquet will also feature the announcement of the Hall of Fame recipient, the name of the "Outstanding Service Award" and the "Roots and Wings" recipient. |

 Plans are underway for the 2009 Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet, Thursday, January 22, 2009 at SWOSU's Ballroom.
Continuing the tradition started in 2008, Chamber members are again being encouraged to be "table decoration sponsor." As a sponsor, a Chamber member will be responsible for decorating a table of eight (8) for the banquet. This is your opportunity to promote your business. Last year's table sponsors will have the right of first refusal for sponsoring a table in 2009. Deadline for table sponsors is January 12, 2009. Call the Chamber to secure your table sponsorship. |

In the News - The Chamber's Weatherford TV commercial is already paying dividends even before it has aired! The "Oklahoma Gazette," readership approximately 10,000, recently carried an article highlighting the Stafford Air & Space Museum and the Heartland Museum. The article was written by Melana Lott, owner of Inflamed Brain Creative, the company hired to produce the TV commercials and economic development video. Click here to read the article.
TV Commercial - Weatherford's tourism community will soon be featured in 30 second television commercial. The television commercial is a project of the Chamber's tourism committee and is funded by the Weatherford hotel/motel tax.
