March 7 - The Perfect Workday
What would be a Perfect Workday for you? Can you describe it? If you could set and meet your priorities, work more effectively with the people around you, dig out from under the paperwork and email avalanche, and move closer to a balanced life, wouldn't that come close to a Perfect Workday?
- Find an extra hour a day.
- Plan on purpose and plan with a purpose.
- Deal with difficult people.
- Set and track priorities: Are you trying to do too much?
- Meet timelines and deadlines: How to do three things at once.
- What to do in times of crisis and conflict.
- How to handle the information avalanche.
- Getting it done and go home on time.
You can have a Perfect Workday. Here are 350+ strategies, tactics, and tips to show you the way.
April 4 - What Every Manager Should Know Congratulations! You are a manager or supervisor...or well on your way. Now, what does that mean? In this seminar you will learn:
- How to help employees focus on the "mission"
- How to cut down on miscommunication
- How to manage people who may be your friends and used to be your peers
- How to understand different types of people
- How to create at "team"
- How to discipline effectively
- How to keep from letting the stress get to you
What Every Manager/Supervisor Should Know can help new and veteran managers and supervisors master a broad range of skills, manage time and communications more effectively and build a positive foundation for moving ahead in the workplace.
May 9 - I Didn't Sign On for This! Dealing with Constant Change in the Workplace Won't it stop? Today's increasing pace of change can create a personal and work life that mirrors the experience of standing on the baseline at a tennis court and having your opponent fire balls from a tennis cannon at you. This type of change seems constant: before you can assimilate one change another comes along. The phenomenon has become known as "Repetitive Change Syndrome (RCS)."
Moving through change, and especially leading in times of change, takes time and energy; it's extremely stressful. In this seminar you will learn:
- How to recognize how change effects you and the organization.
- Why we resist change and how to lower resistance.
- How to more easily embrace and work within the change.
- How to move on to the new reality.
The managers and professionals who have attended the program have repeatedly rated this seminar as excellent and highly recommend it for their colleagues. The style of presentation is highly interactive, lighthearted and fast-paced. Attendees often comment that they had a lot of "Aha!" moments and frequently say, "I needed this right now in my life...and for more than just work."
