Member News
The Chamber began a new Article Block in the August issue of Chamber Chronicles specifically for spotlighting Chamber Members. Any business interested in "being in the spotlight" will be required to fill out a Member Profile of 25 words or less and return it to the Chamber office by the 10th of the month prior to publication. Up to three Chamber Members may be published each month, and it is based on "first come first served". Therefore those who return their profile first get first chance at being published. Each month will feature different members. You may go to our website www.clintonsampsonchamber.org for a Member Profile Form, or contact the Chamber office at (910) 592-6177. |

Group that went to MLK Memorial Dedication in Washington DC on October 16, 2011 |
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial
On Sunday, October 16, 2011 Sampson, Duplin residents join throngs of people on the National Mall for dedication of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial! Dr. Ted Thomas said he was thrilled at the opportunity to be a part of such a special occasion, and he was glad the Chamber and its multicultural arm was able to initiate the trip that brought so many people together. Dr. Ted wrote "...the highlight of the event was standing at the foot of the monument looking up at Dr. King and realizing how he stood for what he believed in. My prayer is that one day Dr. King's dream of equality will come true, but until then the monument and his legacy continues to remind me that there is still work to do. We are not what we used to be but we are not where we need to be." The Sampson Independent
