is looking for Hospice Volunteers one hour each week at Mary Gran & Southwood Nursing Centers. Liberty has patients who would like to have someone come visit them. The Guardian Ad Litem Program of NC is a volunteer organization that represents abused and neglected children in court. Volunteers are court appointed child advocates from all cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. They are in great need of volunteers. Thursday, March 17th had a great turn out for Business After Hours at EZ Wireless authorized agent for US Cellular. They had delicious refreshments and great give aways! | | Adult Leadership on State Government Day |
2010-2011 Leadership Class
March 15th was State Government Day. The class left Clinton early for Raleigh and met with the N.C. State Auditor, Beth Wood, who explained what her office does for North Carolinians. Attorney, Dwight Allen gave an interesting and informative overview of current issues in the legislature. The class also met N.C. Senator Brent Jackson and Representatives Larry M. Bell and James H. Langdon, Jr., and spent time in the Senate and House Sessions. Dr. Richard Reich, Assistant Commissioner of the N.C. Department of Agriculture also met with the class and gave an informative speech. It was a full day and a great learning experience. |

The 2010-2011 Junior Leadership Class spent March 22nd in Raleigh, visiting the N.C. Association of County Commissioners, the N.C. Department of Agriculture, touring the Legislative building and the Museum of Natural Science.
