Liberty Hospice
is looking for Hospice Volunteers one hour each week at Mary Gran & Southwood Nursing Centers. Liberty has patients who would like to have someone come visit them. If you can spare one hour each week, please call Marie Vann, Volunteer Coordinator at 910-592-8367. Make a difference in your life and theirs. Visit their web site www.libertyhospice.com

The Guardian Ad Litem Program of NC is a volunteer organization that represents abused and neglected children in court. Volunteers are court appointed child advocates from all cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. They are in great need of volunteers. If you feel you could help children, please contact Patrick Giddeons at 910-296-2307 or patrick.l.giddeons@nccourts.org

The Chamber is working to establish a list of volunteers to contact whenever volunteers are needed for mail-outs, office help (filing, etc.) If you are interested or know of someone that is retired that would be interested please contact the Chamber office by email or phone.

CommWell Health opened a new Building Bridges Behavioral Health Services office in Clinton on Thursday, February 17th. Everyone enjoyed delicious refreshments! Thank you for supporting a fellow Chamber Member.

41st Annual Banquet
The 41st Annual Banquet was a success! Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken, beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, cooked apples and rolls along with a choice of wonderful desserts. Garrett Whipkey entertained us on the saxophone, and did an very professional job! Thanks Garrett for playing great music, we received several compliments on your entertainment. Attendees viewed the 2010 Slide Show during Garrett's performance.

2010-2011 Leadership Class
February 15th was Criminal Justice Day. The class began the day at the Sampson County Sheriff's Department then toured the County Jail and the County Court House. They visited the Law Enforcement Museum (at the Sampson County History Museum) and then the Clinton Police Department. One member of the class even went one-on-one with Dandy the Police Dog!
