Annual 4-H Art Gala

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Victor R. Small House, 709 College Street, Clinton. Sampson County Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development and Sampson County Arts Council invite you to the Annual 4-H Art Gala. Come support the children and their art. Partners for Life Annual Gala
Saturday, November 6
6:00 p.m. to Midnight at Sampson County Agri-Expo Center, Clinton.
Get the red carpet treatment during a night in Hollywood at this year's Annual Gala. Enjoy fabulous food, live music by Infinity Show Band, and a night of dancing. Proceeds from this year's event will support the addition of a brand new digital mammography unit at the Outpatient Diagnostics Center. Event tickets are tax deductible. Veteran's Day Program

Join us for the Annual Veteran's Day Program as we pay tribute to our United States Military. All branches of service are recognized during this special program. Sponsored by: Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce, Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center, County of Sampson, and Veterans Affairs. Annual Turkey Day Celebration & Parade
Saturday, November 20 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. out side of Turkey on Hwy. 24 East going towards Clinton (by Bay Valley Foods) and goes to the Fire Dept. All other activities are at the Turkey Fire Dept., 390 Faison Rd., Turkey 28393 Contact Cathy Cottle at 910-592-3409 for more info. Parade and event is free, however there is a cost for food, auctions, penny social, raffles, and vendors.
Breast Cancer
Support Group
Monday, November 226:30 - 7:30 p.m. at SRMC Cancer Center, 215 Beaman St., Clinton The SRMC Breast Cancer Support Group provides an opportunity for women with breast cancer to learn, comfort, support, and fellowship with others who battle this disease. Liberty Hospice
is looking for Hospice Volunteers one hour each week at Mary Gran & Southwood Nursing Centers. Liberty has patients who would like to have someone come visit them. The Guardian Ad Litem Program of NCis a volunteer organization that represents abused and neglected children in court. Volunteers are court appointed child advocates from all cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. They also are in great need of volunteers. Chamber Coat Closet Kick-Off Event!
The Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce kicks-off it's community service project (the Chamber Coat Closet) November 1, 2010 from Noon to 6:00 p.m. at the Clinton City Market. We are collecting new and gently used coats for all ages and all sizes, both male and female for the needy. Collection is through the month of November with disbursement beginning December 1, 2010. Come by Clinton City Market November 1st to drop off coats and enjoy free entertainment.

A celebration of life service was held in memory of Mr. Malachi Faison Wednesday, October 27 at the Sampson County Agri-Expo Center. He passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the age of 75. Commissioner Faison was very active in the Chamber. Our condolences go out to his family. |
