This event is to let Sampson County businesses and residents know they can shop/buy local for the holidays. Instead of buying your gift baskets, gift cards, etc. online this year you can see what Piggly Wiggly has to offer in gift and holiday ideas for your friends and loved ones. They will showcase what you can order from the deli, bakery, produce and meat departments for gifts and party trays. Keep the money in Sampson County this year, shop and buy local for all your gift and party needs. This event is free and open to the public. Liberty Hospice
is looking for Hospice Volunteers one hour each week at Mary Gran & Southwood Nursing Centers. Liberty has patients who would like ot have someone come visit them. The Guardian Ad Litem Program of NCis a volunteer organization that represents abused and neglected children in court. Volunteers are court appointed child advocates from all cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. They also are in great need of volunteers. The Washington Perspective The Washington Perspective was a U.S. House of Representatives North Carolina Business and Economic Summit hosted by Rep., Mike McIntyre and other members of the NC Congressional Delegation. There were eight who attended September 13-14 at the U.S. Capitol on behalf of Sampson County.

Become a Sponsor for our Community Service Project
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce, we invite you to join and support us in a community service project, Chamber Coat Closet, for those in need. We will be collecting new and gently used coats in all sizes for infants through adults. The collection will begin on November 1, with a Collection Kick-off Event at City Market from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. We will collect coats through the month of November at locations throughout the county (to be announced soon). The coats will be distributed by Sampson County Dept. of Social Services (DSS), Sampson Crisis Center, and Sampson County Partnership for Children.
Sponsorship opportunities are available at three levels: - Belt Sponsor $500
- Zipper Sponsor $300
- Button Sponsor $100
Sponsors will receive recognition throughout the event on all marketing materials. Deadline for sponsorships is Friday, October 8th.

 2010 Leadership Clinton-Sampson
This years Leadership Class has gotten off to a great start! There are 16 participants this year from a variety of backgrounds which will bring interest and excitment to the class. A reception was held at the Chamber office on Thursday, September 16th with Leadership Retreat at George Hi Plantation on Friday, September 17th.

Patriot State Bank Grand Opening and BAH
Patriot State Bank held their Grand Opening and Business After Hours Thursday, September 9th at 5:30 p.m. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a barbecue dinner and bluegrass music by local Gena Tew & Friends.

Southern Bank Cuts Ribbon in Salemburg
on Wednesday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. at their new location and building at 102 N. Main Street. There was a great turn out for the ribbon cutting and open house. The first 100 visitors received a free Southern Bank travel mug and everyone enjoyed the refreshments. The winners of the open house gifts will be announced on October 29th.

Ribbon Cutting & BAH at Hubb's Corn Maze
John and Tammy Peterson, owners of Hubb's Corn Maze along with their son Luke had a ribbon cutting Thursday, September 23rd to celebrate the opening of this years Hubb's Corn Maze. It runs through November 7th on weekends.
