City of Clinton's 4th of July Celebration at Royal Lane Park Sunday, July 4th
1:00 PM until 7:00 PM - Royal Lane Pool will be open; 3:00 PM - Horseshoe Tournament begins at Picnic Area #1; DJ Joey Warren will start spinning tunes; 5:00 PM -Woodmen of the World will have a flag presentation; Veteran Recognition Ceremony and placing of the wreath at the Wall of Honor & Remembrance
6:00 PM - Hip Pocket Band plays; 9 or 9:30 PM - Fireworks begin
Vendors will be on the grounds for purchasing items.
 
 
There will be no Business After Hours in July.

The Guardian Ad Litem Program of NC is a volunteer organization that represents abused and neglected children in court. Volunteers are court appointed child advocates from all cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. They also are in great need of volunteers. If you feel you could help children, please contact Patrick Giddeons at

is working to establish a list of volunteers to contact whenever volunteers are needed for mail-outs, office help, etc. If you are interested or know of anyone that is retired that would be interested please contact the Chamber office by email or phone.

Tim's Gift - The Love Ministry had a great turn out for their Ribbon Cutting and Open House Tuesday, June 29. Becky Spell and her sons were gracious hosts and very passionate about their ministry. The vision of Tim's Gift is to improve the quality of life and meet the more obscure financial, emotional, and spiritual needs of hospice patients, cancer patients, and their families. Their mission is to provide teams and care that will bring comfort to the hospice patient. Tim's Gift will provide the financial means to obtain medical and non medical items, not covered by insurance or Medicare, that bring physical and emotional comfort to the patient and family. Tim's Gift also provides ministry teams to meet spiritual needs of the patient and family through the Love Ministry. The are located at 108 Northeast Boulevard, Clinton. Leadership Clinton-Sampson is a leadership development program organized by the Clinton Sampson Chamber of Commerce. The eight-month program is designed to provide leaders broad exposure to issues and opportunities facing Sampson County, as well as meet our need for the active involvement of diverse, informed & responsible community leaders.
 
Leadership Clinton-Sampson will seek representation from all sectors of the community including business, education, the arts, religion, government & non-profit organizations. Up to fifteen participants will be selected through an application process, which is conducted by the program's selection committee.
 
The application deadline is Friday, August 17, 2010. If you are interested in participating in Leadership Clinton-Sampson, please request your application as soon as possible or you may go to our web site www.clintonsampsonchamber.org and print an application to turn in to the Chamber office. You may also request an application by emailing or calling the Chamber office info@clintonsampsonchamber.org or 910-592-6177.
