2010 Jr. Leadership Class at Sampson County History Museum on Agriculture Day | Junior Leadership
Participation in Jr. Leadership Clinton Sampson is open to sophmores and juniors currently enrolled in all local high schools. The program year begins in October and ends in May. One day each month is devoted to exploring a specific aspect of Sampson County: Agriculture, Economic Development, Criminal Justice, Local Government, State and Federal Government, and Health and Human Services. Application is required, contact the Chamber for more information. |

Shipp, Chamber President, Mr. Ed Causey, Jefferson Strickland, Chairman Sampson County Commissioners | Welcome Reception for Sampson County Manager On Tuesday, May 18, 2010 the Chamber of Commerce hosted a Welcome Reception for Mr. Edwin "Ed" Causey, our new Sampson County Manager at The Victor R. Small House in Clinton. It was sponsored by The Ashford Inn, Branch Banking & Trust, International Minute Press, Sampson County Arts Council, Sampson County Government, South River Electric Membership Corporation, and Star Communications. The event was well attended by County and City officials and other well wishers. Mr. Causey commented that he was overwhelmed by the hospitality of Sampson County.

Congratulations to Paul Harn of Family Medical Supply in Clinton for earning the most points for the quarter to become Chamber Ambassador of the Quarter for January through April 2010. The Ambassadors Club is a group of Chamber member volunteers who work to promote participation in Chamber events and activities, to recruit and retain Chamber members, and to represent the Chamber at related functions.
