Making Room in a Small Business
To accommodate the additional staff, Fletcher Prince owners David Hyson and Mary Fletcher Jones turned a Falls Church, VA home into a professional but comfortable work environment. Wireless connectivity and fair weather help overcome space challenges. Have writer's block? Take your laptop to the deck for a fresh perspective. Staff meetings take place in the living room on couches with smoothies. |
Interns Offer New Media Skills
The Fletcher Prince interns offer cutting-edge technical skills to the small business. Their responsibilities include writing blogs, producing podcasts and online videos, and designing websites for Fletcher Prince and its clients.

Ross Putman - Video Intern 
A University of Maryland 2008 graduate, Ross Putman previously worked for Washington Media Associates. Putman will attend the University of Southern California this fall to pursue a graduate degree in screen writing. |
Kristen Powers - Public Relations and Podcast Production Intern
A Communications major, Kristen graduated from Longwood University this spring. At Longwood, Powers created a bi-weekly podcast series to introduce prospective students to the university. |
Samantha Maslaney - Marketing Intern
Specializing in marketing plans and business presentations, Samantha will return to Longwood this fall for her senior year. Samantha is a member of the American Marketing Association. |
Katie Donohue - Graphic Design Intern
Katie will graduate from James Madison University this December with a Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design. Her previous experience includes an internship with Greater Reston Arts Center, as well as working for three summers for Fairfax County's Therapeutic Recreation Program, where she taught arts and crafts to teens and adults living with disabilities.

Gabe Brummel-Smith - Web Design Intern 
A recent high school graduate from Tallahassee, Florida, Gabe brings Dreamweaver and Photo Shop skills to Fletcher Prince. |
Kelsey de Sostoa - Graphic Design Intern
Kelsey will join Fletcher Prince in July for six-week internship after she completes coursework this summer. She will graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University next year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design.
