Ethical Wills: The Great Gift of Legacy
As you write and share your thoughts with others, you gain a deeper understanding of yourself. So how do you go about writing one? An ethical will can begin by addressing the people to whom you are writing (e.g., to my grandchildren, Jane and Dick, or to my children, Mary and Bill). The next step is to describe why you are writing the ethical will. Some examples:
I love you...
I want to share my value and beliefs with you.
I want to share my life stories with you.
I want to share my dreams and hopes for you.
I want you to know how important you are to me.
I want to be remembered long after I am gone.

Participants included: Karen Ware Jackson (OSU), Emily Corzine, Ellen O'Shaughnessy (Columbus Downtowners' Ministry), Carl Hilgarth (Shawnee State University, Portsmouth), Evan Young (Ecumenical Campus Ministry, Ohio University, Athens), Lucy Waechter-Webb (OSU), Peter Galbraith and Bill Bales (Hocking College, Nelsonville), and Adrian McMullen, coordinator of Collegiate Ministries in the PC(USA).

Per Capita: An Overview...
| | Why is Per Capita important? Presbyterians have a form of government built upon shared power and mutual accountability as we seek together to find and represent the will of Christ. By providing the primary means through which commissioners and advisory delegates can gather to do their work, per capita dollars help under-gird our governance system. Our Constitution provides a moral and theological compass that builds community and calls us to Christian faithfulness in gratitude to God. Prayer for the day: Gracious Father, make us better servants. Help us realize the joy in giving, helping, and nurturing others. Place upon our heart a sense of urgency when we serve and help others. We give thanks for your guidance with every new venture we take in furthering your kingdom. Amen.(2012 Mission Yearbook of Prayer)
