First Presbyterian Church, Athens... welcomed their newly-installed pastor, the Reverend Robert E. Martin on Sunday afternoon, March 11. Rob, who began his ministry in Athens in mid-January, is a graduate of Muskingum University and McCormick Seminary. Rob has served churches in Chicago, Indiana and, most recently, in New Jersey.

First Presbyterian Church, Fredericktown...recently celebrated the life of Chester (Chet) Scarbrough, age 97. Chet was a member of the church for 80 years, taught Sunday School for 50 years and served as an Elder for a decade. He will be missed by the Knox County community and the whole First Presbyterian Church family.
First Presbyterian Church, Waverly...is celebrating 170 years of service to God and the Waverly community. The First Presbyterian Church of Waverly was established in 1842 as an offshoot of the Presbyterian Church in Piketon that dissolved in 1886. The first of four special events will be a worship service this Sunday, March 18. The service will be conducted in a style typical of the church's earliest days.
