We seem to be heading into a beautiful summer here in Memphis. After its historic flooding this year, the Mississippi is back to normal levels here and everything is especially green and lush.  Of course the residual pooling of water everywhere has made the mosquitoes happy. And I'm out getting my share of daily bites because I picked this year to finally get my garden going:  Tomatoes, cucumbers, zuccini, yellow squash, bell peppers, jalapenos, cantaloupe, carrots (that seem reluctant to sprout), and cosmos and dahlias for color.  It's all pretty haphazard and disorganized, but seems to be coming together.
