| Greetings!
Usually, when it's been awhile between newsletters, I report that I've been very busy. And I guess I have been this time too. But, some of what has kept me busy lately is an ancient fitness plan I've taken up. It's called lethargy. I'm running on lazy, indulging myself in an exotic subtropical vacation that rolled into town last month. Memphis is hosting a free open air sauna and I've been glowing out toxins by the bucket.
It's so hot the songbirds have changed their tunes and their schedules. They're half-heartedly chirping in the morning and early evening, but they're off clock during the heat of the day. Same thing with the squirrels. They've taken to foraging at dusk. Which is when I'm also out doggie walking Angel, who's programmed to first let out a blood-curdling yelp and then give chase. Just like I'm not on the other end of the leash. And I'm programmed to jump out of my skin at the noise, and then rein in her enthusiastic yapping and tugging. The excitement doesn't last long, though, because Angel is pretty obedient and the squirrels are pretty fast. But, even in my slow-paced listlessness, the days are never altogether dull.
I hope all is well is your world. |
