| Greetings!
I hope all is well is your world. Things are fine and hot and damp and beautiful here in Memphis. I actually got out of town for the second time recently. A California friend was visiting her daughter who lives near Nashville and I drove out and visited with them for a couple of days last month. I had a great time. Eastern Tennessee is beautiful!
As is usual when you haven't heard from me for awhile, I've been busy and have lots of news. Since getting its own identity, 100% Art (formerly Heartful Village Store) has gotten carried away with itself and there are loads of changes to report. |

new greeting card artist
For starters, we have a new card artist. Los Angeles photographer/vector artist Enohpi has three series of cards in the store: Campus Life, Commuting, and S unset. Enohpi has a keen eye for the beauty and grace all around us that usually goes unnoticed. The images on these cards capture everyday scenes of pedestrians, passengers, buses, trains, and swaying trees in powerfully subdued freeze frames that highlight the essential beauty of movement. Please check out Enohpi's profile page and his cards. |

new pricing and customization options
Customizable cards have new quantity pricing that brings the $5 one card price down pretty quickly to $3. And the popular, but previously awkward, card customization feature has been streamlined and enhanced. You can now easily select a standard message, such as Happy Birthday, or input a totally unique one. Either way, there's no extra charge. A visit is worth at least a thousand of my words, so please check out our new greeting card detail page for more info on both the new pricing and customization options. |

my new card series Back in 2002, I shot photos of antique cars on display along Ocean Avenue in Carmel. I guess the fog had lifted that day and the light was right, and I became fascinated with things like reflections of cypress trees in shiny fenders, torn wheel coverings, and abstract formations in aged and well worn paint. These photos have been sitting on some hard drive or another for the past eight years, but I've been on a hunt recently for good 100% Art images, and Cars is my first card photo series. Please check it out. |

naked jewelry Sally Jewett Brocado is the magic making metalsmith behind Naked Jewelry in Los Angeles. Her stunning absract designs in silver and gold and pearls and dramatic stones are like little 3D paintings and sculpture that make the wearer a walking gallery. |
|
nina cambron Nina Cambron is a glass artist who creates colorful, whimsical, abstract designs as wall art. And many of her works are unusual, engaging fused-glass clocks. Like no clocks you've ever seen. |
|
dream mountain studio
Alice Suszynski is a cabinet maker who creates lovely miniature cabinets. From her Dream Mountain Studio near Yosemite, she custom crafts heirloom quality jewelry and flatware boxes and chests. She uses interesting wood combinations and embellishes her pieces with graceful detailing of birds, trees, flowers and abstract designs. |

nunu choclates
Justine Pringle, the chocolatier at Brooklyn-based Nunu Chocolates, is a successful yummy making newbie. She and her musician husband got into the business as an experiment, hoping to find something different to sell at his concerts. And the rest, as they say, is (tasty) history. Here's an inspiring video that tells the Nunu story. |

slow shirts
Slow Shirts/Slow Loris (originally in Oakland, California, but now in Anacourts, Washinton) hand silk screens their hand drawn designs onto sweatshop-free organic cotton T-shirts. Their designs are diverse, original, and hip. |
|
the steel fork
Don't let these earrings throw you off. The Steel Fork does make jewelry, but they're about a whole lot more. Like wonderfully creative tables and other home decor, tote bags, and food. Right. Whole hog sausage and do-it-yourself mozzerella and ricotto cheese kits. And really cool unusual jewelry made (like their tables and home decor) from recycled farm machinery parts.

polished two
No pork sausage here. Polished Two, in Austin, Texas, is definitely all about jewelry. Colorful and thoroughly modern pieces that hint of another time and elegantly other places.

Until next time . . .
Peace.
