Do you know what your clients really want?

 King KongKing KongKing Kong

How many times have you completely misjudged what your clients really want? Giving them one thing when they really wanted or needed another. Sometimes you need to be sure you know what your customers really want...or you're dead.

So this month's trivia question is good for a $25.00 Brinker restaurant gift card. You'll have to watch the latest video on our Facebook Fan Page to get the answer. Here it is: What did King Kong really want?

The winner will be drawn from among all the correct answers submitted by August 1. Good luck!

Which brings me to the question, What do you think is the most important benefit that customers receive from using a tenant rep? We're interested in your thoughts. Please let us know.

Last month's lucky winner was Brenda Bonin with SharePlus Federal Bank. She is in their mortgage lending group. Her name was drawn from among those who submitted the correct 4 companies advertising in the award-winning commercials. Congrats Brenda! Enjoy lunch.

Google vs. Facebook - Which is better?

Imagine if you could advertise your services in such a way that only those who are most likely to be interested would even see the ads. And better yet, you only paid when they acted on those ads. Sounds a lot better than traditional print advertising doesn't it?

This is what "hyper-targeted" advertising is all about and nowhere is the opportunity greater for this than on Facebook according to the article at the link below. The article is targeted to real estate brokers, but it makes the point that Facebook can segment the target audience far better than can Google.

Now I expect to get some feedback on this. In fact, I'm going to ask my friend and client Jeff Rudluff with Online Performance Marketing to write a rebuttal for our next issue. So look for that.

Leftovers from a Trade Show? What to do?

After buying the 1,500 pens, stress balls or bottled water, you only gave away 983. What are you going to do with all those boxes of leftovers? Well, one of our friends is Amanda Hueneke with Professional Business Systems and she is a branding specialist with promotional products. She has come up with a list of what you can do with some those leftovers.

- Individual mints or candy (individual Life Savers, etc.) stapled to your literature draws the recipients eye, and helps yours stand out- especially in a trade show environment.

- Deliver 2 or 4 coffee mugs to your client's office along with a "Box of Joe" and even doughnuts.

BizTip - Mapping Multiple Locations

Have you ever needed to plot more than one location on Google Maps so that you could see how close they were to each other or the most efficient order in which to drive to them? You can't solve that problem with Google Maps yet because it only allows you to plot one location at a time - 2 if you ask for directions.

Well, I came across a handy little website which allows you to plot many addresses at one time on Google Maps. You just type in each address you want to plot and click Submit.

We tried it and it worked perfectly. Not only that, it saves the resulting map and gives you a URL so you can use it again. Here is the result of our test.
