Greetings!
What's Going On in Small Business Right Now?
According to a monthly survey from the National Federation of Independent Business the Index of Small Business Optimism lost one point in July, falling to 87.9 (1986=100) after posting a gain of 6.9 points since March. Four of the ten Index components posted gains while six lost ground. The decline, although small in magnitude, was primarily a result of declines in expected real sales and expected business conditions.

What is the Texaplex?
David Winans coined the term "Texaplex" to describe the triangular region of Texas that contains 75% of the state's population. He produced a video about the area which is a real eye-opener. Watch it to see why everyone is talking about the Texaplex. The Texaplex Project The global financial crisis is a vicious cycle. The more we hear and talk about it, the worse it gets. However, in spite of all the national bad news, Texas is prospering! Texas, and in particular the Texaplex, has some pretty impressive facts that most Texans weren't even aware of. This video is part of the Texaplex project which has set out to change that. Did you know that the Texas Real Estate market is one of the strongest in the nation? Did you know that half of all new jobs created in the US were in Texas? Watch the video, download the Texaplex PDF and start sharing the "good" news. | |

NTTA Special Alert |
|
On Wednesday, July 1, the NTTA transitioned to all-electronic toll collection (all-ETC) on the President George Bush Turnpike only.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m., cash was no longer accepted on the Bush Turnpike. If you have a TollTag, your payment method will remain the same and you will continue to use all open lanes. Motorists without TollTags -- also known as ZipCash customers -- will have a new way to pay. Instead of stopping to pay cash, ZipCash customers should KEEP MOVING. A bill for the transactions at the higher ZipCash rate will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. So be careful to whom you loan your car.
TollTag customers should use caution and slow down initially while current cash customers adapt to the new way to travel and pay.
Now how does this work when you rent a car?

| Need Land? |
 |
|
One of corporate clients bought land in McKinney on Eldorado Parkway for a future location, but decided not to build after all.
So the 1.68 acres of land is now on the market for sale for $399,000. It would be perfect for professional offices for medical, a CPA, a lawyer, or even retail.
