Client Profile - F1 Interop Solutions

F1 Interop LogoTechnology has become so amazingly complex these days that it boggles the mind.  One telecommunications system may actually be the sum of dozens of other component devices all of which have to work together properly so you can complete your call, send your text message, or send data where it's supposed to go.  That requires testing and lots of it before the product hits the market.

That's where F1 Interop Solutions comes in.  F1 Interop is a leading system integrator and independent test and interoperability facility offering a complete suite of testing services for IP (VoIP) / Packet Cable and other next-generation advanced services.

BizTip - Adding an Entire Word File

Have you ever wanted to combine information from one Word document into another? I don't mean part of it.  I mean the whole file.  You can copy from one file and paste into the other, but if you need to put all of the information from one document into another, a faster way is to add the entire file. Here's how:
  • Within your main document, click where you would like to insert the second document.
  • From the Insert Menu, click 'Insert File.'
  • In the Insert File box, locate the other document and double click it.
All of the information contained in the second document will automatically insert into the first document.

But this only works for Word 2003.  If you have 2007, you must click Insert, Object, Text from File.
BizTip #2 - Office 2007 Menu Help

I started using Microsoft Office 2007 after I bought a new computer with Windows Vista last Thanksgving.  Overall, I'm pleased with the updated versions.  But I have been frustrated with the new menus.  The commands are different - very different - and I sometimes can't figure out how to do what I want to do.

Happily, I just discovered an interactive converter.  It lets you first execute the command as you would have in Office 2003, and then it shows you how to do it in 2007.  I mainly use Word and Excel so I have attached links to this tool for these two programs here.

The Lingo - "Holding Over"

When a tenant continues to occupy the leased premises after the lease has expired it is call Holding Over.  It can occur with or without landlord consent.  The rent is usually much higher during holdover - 1.5 to 3 times higher - and that continues until the tenant vacates or renegotiates the lease.

That is why it's so important to plan ahead for your lease renewal or relocation.  Reata recommends that you start at least 3 months before you must exercise your lease renewal.  A move or purchase may require more time.
