Steve Martin used to tell a joke about how to make a million dollars. "Well, first you get a million dollars..." was the punch line. That was the late 70's when a million bucks was still worth something.
But a million dollars won't put you in the league with these guys. You'll need about $3 million in investable assets to qualify.

Thinking of starting a business but don't know where to start? Confused by all the different types of entities you could form for your business and wondering which type will be best?
Then you need to attend the Legal Aspects of Starting a Business class being offered this Wednesday, January 23, at the Small Business Development Center in Plano at 6:30 PM.
Already own a business and wondering whether you should have employees or independent contractors? How much and how often should you pay your employees? How do you protect your business assets?
There's a class for you too - Legal Aspects of Running a Business at 11:30 AM.
Both classes are taught by Terry Traveland of Traveland & Jiongo. Terry is someone I can vouch for as she has been my attorney for 3 years and has also handled several of my clients.

| Community - My Possibilities |
Joseph is 22 years old and doesn't understand that he's too old to go to his "old" school. All his friends are there so he doesn't understand why he can't go. You see Joseph has "aged out" of a school system which allows disabled people to remain in high school only until 21. Then they are on their own.
Joseph is no isolated case. There are over 14,000 adults ages 20-60 in Collin County alone with physical and/or mental disabilities. Government funding is woefully inadequate for day programs.
On Sunday, January 27, a new program is being unveiled to address this situation.
My Possibilities is a year-round, day program for adults with disabilities after they age out of the public school system. Their mission is to provide a program of learning, independence skills and vocational training in a safe and nurturing environment for these adults who have few means to support themselves.
Reata is acting as an advisor to My Possibilities to find a permanent home for the program.
Please join us on Sunday, January 27, to learn more and visit what we hope will be the first My Possibilities center in Collin County. Come see what we can do together. Click here for details.
