October Beers: Scary Beer Labels
Brace yourself! It's Scary Beer season at B3. All month long we're bringing frightfully fabulous brews your way to chase that scary Summer heat away. Cheers to cooler weather!
Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Oregon- In the early 1990s the first Dead Guy Ale was created as a private tap sticker to celebrate the Mayan Day of the Dead (November 1st, All Souls Day). This beer is brewed in the style of a German Maibock, using Rogue's proprietary Pacman ale yeast. Dead Guy Ale has a deep honey color with a malty aroma and a rich hearty flavor. 6.5% ABV.
Atlanta Brewing Red Brick Laughing Skull Amber Ale, Georgia- Back from the dead and better than ever! Like a zombie that just won't die, one of the South's favorite craft beers is back. This newly reincarnated version of Laughing Skull is a full flavored amber ale with a crisp, clean finish that's sure to clear out the cobwebs. So crack open a Skull! You'll be glad you did. 5.4% ABV
Stone Brewery India Pale Ale (IPA), California- Medium bodied, refreshing ale light-medium malt character with a heavy dose of over the top hops! Two full weeks of "dry hopping" give this beer its abundant hop aroma and crisp hop flavor. 6.9% ABV
Oskar Blues' Deviant Dale's IPA, Colorado -Deviant Dale's IPA (8% ABV, 85 IBUs) was born at the crossroads, in a juke joint, as if Dale's Pale Ale sold its soul to balance Deviant's foreboding aromas of citrus, grapefruit rind and piney resins with a copper ball-of-fire color and inscrutable finish. The 2011 GABF Silver Medal Winner (American IPA Category) is the Devil incarnate with untold amounts of malt and hedonistic Columbus dry-hopping. |

Wine: Curvy Reds
Nothing compliments cooler weather and autumnal flavors quite like savory red wines. Big, beautiful, and full-bodied; this month's line up of sultry seasonal reds will leave you saying "hubba hubba!"
Rosenblum Vinter's Cuvee, Syrah, California - A full-bodied wine with incredible depth and layers of black fruit, smoke, lavender, herbes de Provence, and a silky touch of vanilla bean that adds to the beautiful finish.
Barton & Guestier, Cote du Rhone, Rhone Valley, France -This Rhone blend is flavorful, combining fruity aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries with peppery notes. Very fresh on the palate with a long aromatic finish. 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignon.
Maipe Andean, Malbec, Argentina - This Malbec has a deep purple color with violet tints. Complex plum, fig and strawberry undertones. Spices and floral aromas. Rounded and velvety tannins, and excellent length with a distinguished character. |

Mix your week up with a little spontaneous fun. Grab your kids and your own inner child and come enjoy some hang-time with friends and family at B3 Game Night. We start things off at 6:30 PM and have a supply of games on hand (although feel free to bring your own). |

This month's Seasonal Salad, Sandwich and Soup:
NEW seasonal salad! Fresh spring mix greens topped with crisp sliced green apples, dried cranberries, walnuts and feta cheese. Balsamic dressing served on the side.
NEW seasonal sandwich! Pumpernickel rye bread topped with cream cheese, chives, sundried tomatoes, black olives and sunflower seeds and then hot pressed. It's melty, warm deliciousness.
New seasonal soup! Butternut squash: A delicate blend of tender butternut squash and rich cream combined with mirepoix vegetables and a touch of brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg (vegetarian). |

The white and green B3 Team Kits are on sale for pre-orders only through October 31st at the Cafe and on-line. Sizing kits will be at the Cafe to try on to make sure you get the right size. The jersey and bib shorts are race cut, most people are wearing one size larger than they normally wear in traditional cut jerseys and shorts.
