July Beers: American Beers get Crafty
What July 4th celebration is complete without some ice-cold American craft beers to chill things out? Here are the patriotic brews we picked for you this month:

Samuel Adams Boston Lager, MA - Samuel Adams Boston Lager boasts two-row malted barley and Bavarian Noble hops. The sole use of two-row barley not only imparts a full, smooth body but also gives the beer a wide spectrum of malt flavor ranging from slightly sweet to roasted. The Noble hop varieties of Hallertau Mittelfrueh and Tettnang Tettnanger add a wide range of floral, piney and citrus notes, which are present from the aroma, through the taste, and all the way to the lingering smooth finish. 4.9% ABV
Mad River Brewing, Steelhead Double IPA, CA - Maltier, hoppier and more robust in flavor than regular IPAs, Double IPA is dry hopped with Amarillo hops for a fresh citrus flavor and aroma. Goes great with food and life in general. Does not go well with operating heavy machinery. 8.6% ABV

Oskar Blues, G'Knight Imperial Red Ale, CO - Their "Velvet M-80" is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouth-feel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G'Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It's brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of their Lyons hometown.
Anderson Valley Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale, CA - Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale is not just your average summer seasonal. This unique copper colored ale is smooth, malty, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor. Never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized. 5% ABV |

Wine: Oui Oui!
Raise a glass and make a toast, the great race is on! In honor of The Tour de France, we're pouring our favorite winning French wines. Cheers!

Barton & Guestier, Cote du Rhone, Rhone Valley, France - This Rhone blend is flavorful, combining fruity aromas of ripe strawberries and cherries with peppery notes. Very fresh on the palate with a long aromatic finish. 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignon.
Barton & Guestier, Bistro Pinot Noir, Corsica, France - This generous Pinot Noir has a supple body and lively acidity. Medium tannins knit together fresh flavors and earthy undertones for a well-balanced wine with a lingering finish.
Chateau Greysac, Medoc, France - A beautiful medium bodied left-bank Bordeaux loaded with red fruits with mild tannins upon release. 50% Cabernet, 38% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. |
