 Fiesta Time! Greetings!
This month, there is MUCH to fiesta about as we celebrate Cinco De Maya ... Trece de Mama ... and Veintisiete de Conmemoración. Of course, that is our horribly butchered Spanish way of saying: Cinco De Mayo, Mother's Day, and Memorial Day. So stop by and honor those you love with us. We're operating normal business hours on each of those days.

May Beers: Great Divide
In 1994, Colorado's craft beer scene scarcely existed, but Brian Dunn recognized Denver's potential to be a great beer city. Combining his business background with his passion for beer, which was developed through his international travels and his experience as a homebrewer, he decided to start a brewery. He set up shop in an abandoned dairy-processing plant at the edge of downtown Denver and began brewing the beers that would eventually carry Great Divide Brewing Company to its status as one of America's most decorated microbreweries and would help transform Denver into an international destination for beer lovers. Great Divide, yours for the tasting at B3 this month, brews some of the globe's most balanced yet assertive and flavorful beers.
Denver Pale Ale, Colorado - A world-renowned, classic pale ale with a malty middle and an equally hearty complement of hop aroma, flavor and bitterness. 5.4% ABV
Wild Raspberry Ale, Colorado- A unique, thirst-quenching ale fermented with real red and black raspberries. Its balance of malt and fruit flavors make it a beer lover's fruit beer. 5.6% ABV
Titan IPA, Colorado - A big, aggressively hopped India Pale Ale brewed for hop disciples. It starts out with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishes with a nice rich, malty sweetness that is balanced with crisp hop bitterness. 7.1% ABV

Wine: Tough Race. Beautiful Place. The Giro d' Italia is the first of three Grand Tours (followed by the Tour de France and the Vueta Espana). The slogan for this year's race is "The world's toughest race in the world's most beautiful place!" Italy is universally recognized as one of the most beautiful countries in the world and offers such a wide variety of terrain (mountains, hills, plains, lakes and the Mediterranean coast) that it allows the race director to create stunning stages for every edition of the race that are both beautiful and create great racing. The beauty of the Giro d'Italia attracts an ever-growing number of fans, both in Italy and around the world. In honor of, we're pour the vino Italiano this month.
Falesco Sangiovese, Italy - This 100% Sangiovese is intense and bright ruby red in color, with aromas of ripe cherry and strawberry. The excellent balance between fruit and acidity, and the slightly spicy notes on the finish are the unmistakable hallmarks of this wine. The soft and silky tannins frame the pleasant texture of this pure Sangiovese. Busi Chianti Rufina, Italy - Rufina, the higher-elevation zone just east of Florence, is Chianti's undiscovered charm, abundant with subtle wines and less exposed to the tinkering that Chianti has endured. A fine, solid example here: light on its feet, with juicy berry fruit and a slight balsam note. Borgo Molino Corte Delle Rose, Pinot Grigio, Italy - Fresh, fruity bouquet of wild flowers, pears and quinces. In the mouth a nice, invigorating freshness with precise, elegant fruitiness on the palate and delicate almond notes. A sparkling clean Pinot Grigio with typical freshness and lightness. Stellina de Notte Prosecco, Italy - A sparkling wine with delicate aromas of citrus, pear, melon, lemon and almonds. Elegant bubbles enliven the flavors, making them dance on the palate. The body is light, with a lovely balance between crisp acidity and touch of sweetness. The hint of minerals in the finish is a classic quality of the Prosecco grape, which has been grown in the Tre Venezie region of Northern Italy since Roman times. Venetians consider Prosecco the perfect aperitivo or ombra (pick-me-up). |

Our B Creative Artist for the months of May and June is: Chad Pollpeter. Born and raised in the mid-west, Chad graduated Florida State University with a degree in Art Education. He has taught public school art classes and currently teaches computer animation at "Full Sail". His own artwork style is derived from his intrigue with the works of Surrealists such as Dali, Magritte, Beksinski and Bacon. Chad paints intuitively, and in doing so; the meaning of the painting develops with the painting itself. His imagery tends to focus on the expressive qualities of the human form.
