 Spring has Sprung! Greetings!
Well, pick us a posy and slap a happy bonnet on us cos' Springtime is finally here. (You know, after that brutally cold winter we all endured. Haha.) Now that hibernation time is over, it's time to perk things back up. And at B3, we're doing exactly that with an assortment of palate pleasing switch-em-up, change-eroo adjustments to our menu options.
But first, we want to thank you all for the major B3 Birthday Love! You made our 4th Birthday bash a blast! Thank you!

April Beers: Going Dark!
Sure, Daylight Savings Time is making our spring days lighter and brighter, but admit it, you miss the extra hour of sleep. So this month we're hanging on to the dark a little bit longer with our menu of featured stout and porter beers.
 | | St. Peter's Brewery, Bungay, Suffolk |
Stouts are dark beers, almost black, and they feature a heavily roasted flavor profile. This is achieved by brewing with malt that has been kilned until it resembles burnt toast. Although not always considered ales by consumers, these beers use top fermenting yeasts and as such are members of the ale family. Porter was originally an English, specifically London, dark beer style that was the drink of the masses long before lagers were conceived or modern ales were fashionable. In the heyday of Porter in London, during the eighteenth century , the term "Stout" was used to denote the strongest and weightiest beers in a brewers portfolio. The same relationship still holds true to this day, with porters generally being lighter in body and color than stouts. Stouts and Porters are enormously popular among craft beer brewers and drinkers.
St. Peter's Old Style Porter, England - This fine beer blends a mature old ale with a younger light beer - just as a true Porter should be. The marriage produces an extremely characterful brew that is dark in colour and complex in taste. 5.1%ABV.
St. Peter's Cream Stout, England - Fuggles and Challenger hops, plus a blend of four local barley malts create an aromatic, strong, dark chocolate cream stout with a satisfying bittersweet aftertaste. 6.5% ABV.
Lefthand Brewing Milk Stout, Colorado - Dark and delicious, America's great milk stout will change your perception about what a stout can be. Preconceived notions are the blinders on the road to enlightenment. Udderly delightful. 6%ABV
Sprecher's Black Bavarian Lager, Wisconsin - This intensely dark Kulmbacher style lager has a superb malt complexity with the distinctive flavors and aromas of coffee, caramel and chocolate. A renowned smoothness and a creamy, tan head make it a world champion. 5.9% ABV |

Wine: Give Us Hell? ... Oui! Oui!
Some call it contest of strength. Others say the ultimate cycling race for surpassing your own limits. It's the Paris - Roubaix (a.k.a. "Hell of the North"). In cycling mythology, Easter Sunday is regarded above all as a day for road racers. With a route of "just" 280 km in 1896, the youngest born of the great French classic races paled into insignificance alongside Bordeaux-Paris and Paris-Brest-Paris. However, this race, from Porte Maillot in Paris to the Velodrome in Park Barbieux in the French town of Roubaix, has now taken on legendary status. Over the years, it has become an annual pilgrimage for acrobats on two wheels and true devotees of hard graft. With guaranteed thrills and spills, obstacles and twists of fate, all efforts are focused on staying in the race. In honor of this grueling French race, we are pouring some anything but grueling, lovely French wines.

La Comtadine, Passion Blanc, Cotes du Rhone, France - Light yellow robe with golden highlights; beautiful shine. Very aromatic wine full of lemon and grapefruit notes. Fine and fresh in the mouth, mineral flavours. Grape variety: Grenache blanc - Roussanne - Viognier
Noir 46, Malbec '07, France - French Malbec wines from Cahors have been known throughout history as the "Black Wine" and are reputedly the darkest in the world as they are almost black, or "Noir" in color. Noir 46 is the essence of French Malbec. Intensely rich color and delicious fruit flavors.
Chateau Bonnet Reserve Bordeaux '07, France - Château Bonnet lies to the North of the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the clay-chalk slopes of the commune of Grézillac, overlooking the Dordogne valley some 10km south of Saint Emilion. The estate dates back to the 17th century; when André Lurton took over in 1956, it comprised 30 hectares of vineyard, which he immediately undertook to renovate and develop. Andre has crafted this refreshing, juicy red from classic Bordeaux varietals 50% Cabernet and 50% Merlot
Chateau Greysac, Bordeaux '06, Medoc, France- Beautiful medium bodied left-bank Bordeaux loaded with red fruits with mild tannins upon release. 50% Cabernet, 38% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2%Petit Verdot. |
