February Beers: Go Costal!
This month envision swirling ocean waves breaking across rocky, craggy shorelines as we snake up the picturesque Pacific Coast Highway to sample crafty brews from North Coast Brewing - a pioneer in the craft beer movement since 1988. Opened originally as a local brewpub in the historic town of Fort Bragg, located on California's Mendocino Coast, under the leadership of Brewmaster Mark Ruedrich, the brewery has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more than 70 awards in national and international competitions. All month, we're bringing the CA coastal flavors right here to Orlando.
Acme IPA -- profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.
Acme Pale Ale -- this easy-drinking Pale Ale revives the name of one of the early icons of California brewing. Clean-tasting and pleasantly malty, Acme Pale is brewed with Yakima Valley hops, American two-row malt and British specialty malts for depth.
Blue Star American Wheat Beer -- choice American barley and wheat malts are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile.
Old Rasputin Imperial Stout -- produced in the tradition of 18th Century English brewers who supplied the court of Russia's Catherine the Great, Old Rasputin seems to develop a cult following wherever it goes. It's a rich, intense brew with big complex flavors and a warming finish. |

New Natural Sodas from Sprecher
Sprecher Brewing Co. was founded in 1985 by Randal Sprecher, formerly a brewing supervisor at Pabst Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From 1985 to 1994, the brewery was located at 730 W. Oregon Street in Milwaukee's Walker's Point area. Through the first ten years the company grew steadily as more and more people found out about Sprecher's high quality beers and sodas.
All of Sprecher's sodas are gluten-free and caffeine free. Look for the following sodas at B3:

Root Beer and Lo-Cal Rootbeer - This truly old fashioned soda has the rich, creamy flavor that only comes from using pure Wisconsin honey direct from the combs. The extracts are prepared at the brewery in a hand-made, gas-fired brew kettle, by combining honey, pure vanilla and a host of aromatic botanicals. The dark, honeyed brew will build a delicious, frothy head when properly poured into a frosted mug.
Gorrilla Grape - Gorilla Grape soda is like nothing you have ever had before. Sipping this yummy, purple concoction will remind you of bubbly summer days. Fire-Brewed to delicious perfection this blend of Concord grape juice and raw Wisconsin honey will have you swinging from the rafters with pure enjoyment.
Orange Dream - Enjoy this super citrus drink of natural orange flavors, honey and vanilla for a creamy, dreamy taste experience that's over the moon. In your wildest dreams, cows roam the orange groves in search of a starry spot for sitting and sipping a succulent citrus soda.
Ginger Ale - Sprecher ginger ale is a sophisticated soda, pale in color and reminiscent of a light, sparkling Chardonnay. Its complex flavor is very dry on the palate, combining the bite of ginger ale with a surprising hint of oak. A truly unique taste experience. Nothing like the ginger ale you are used to! |

New Limited Edition "Belgium" B3 Cycling Kits
Cyclists love Belgium...the land where cycling heroes are created and many dreams are shattered. The Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen) is one of the monuments of cycling with harsh cobbles, mud, rain and wind. This classic is for the "Hard Men" of cycling. So honoring riders like Johan Museuw, Peter Van Petegam, Eric Vanderaden and Eddy Merckx, B3 has created a limited edition "Lion of Flanders" cycling kit.
Both the Belgium Kits and Team Kits will go on sale for pre-orders only February 13th through March 14th at the Cafe and on-line. Sizing kits will be at the Cafe to try on to make sure you get the right size from February 13th to February 28th. The jersey and bib shorts are race cut, most people are wearing one size larger than they normally wear in traditional cut jerseys and shorts.
