The Tour de France! Greetings!
Happy Birthday to U.S., Free People! It's good to be red, white and blue in the summertime, don't ya think? A'splish-splashing in the pool, chillaxing by the grill, getting your Tour de France on at B3 ... er, well, that last one isn't technically apple pie American, but it's still an awesome way to spend a summer day. B3 will broadcast Tour coverage from Saturday July 2 to Sunday July 24 (with live coverage every morning). So stop by for the race or simply to pledge your allegiance to good food.
We'll be open this 4th of July (Monday) from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Come on by, say hello and let us do the cooking for you! |

July Beers:
Birthday Beers
Beat the summer heat with a finely crafted, glug-glug-Ahhhhh! inducing, well chilled beer. It's what our Founding Fathers would have done to toast our nation's independence (had temperature-controlled refrigeration been an option back in 1776). In honor of those great leaders, we're serving up one of the best craft beers from historic, Boston, MA. The Boston Beer Company is America's leading brewer of handcrafted, full-flavored beers. Founder and Brewer, Jim Koch, brews Samuel Adams Beers using the time-honored, traditional four-vessel brewing process, and the world's finest all-natural ingredients. With 18 distinctive, award-winning styles of beer, Samuel Adams offers discerning beer drinkers a variety of brews. The brewery has won more awards in International beer-tasting competitions in the last five years, more than any other brewery in the world.
Samuel Adams Boston Lager, MA - Samuel Adams Boston Lager boasts two-row malted barley and Bavarian Noble hops. The sole use of two-row barley not only imparts a full, smooth body but also gives the beer a wide spectrum of malt flavor ranging from slightly sweet to roasted. The Noble hop varieties of Hallertau Mittelfrueh and Tettnang Tettnanger add a wide range of floral, piney and citrus notes, which are present from the aroma, through the taste, and all the way to the lingering smooth finish. 4.9% ABV
Samuel Adams Summer Ale, MA - Samuel Adams Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise (a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century) to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days. 5.3% ABV
Samuel Adams Cream Stout, MA - Called "the cappuccino of beers" for tasting roasty, smooth and sweet! This Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness, with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Their brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as roasted unmalted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark, mahogany color makes it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate. 4.9% ABV.
Thomas Hooker American Pale Ale, MA - Thomas Hooker American Pale Ale is an extremely vivid, medium-bodied brew. Hooker Pale Ale stresses the crisp bitterness, lingering resin flavor, and aroma of American hops which are characteristic of the most distinctive West Coast Ales. The caramel sweetness of the malt balances the chock-full-of-hops flavor to yield a complex but quite refreshing brew. 5.3%ABV. |

Wines: Oui! Oui! Wines
In honor of this month's Tour de France, we're pouring glasses of our favorite French wines.
Domaine Tollot-Beaut Bourgogne Rouge '08 - Revealing black cherry and blackberry flavors matched to a solid structure. Owned by the Tollot family and fronted by the affable Nathalie. Along with Jean-Paul and Oliver they make up the fifth generation to run this 100 year old estate. No fertilizers are used and a green harvest takes place in summer to limit yields. 100% Pinot Noir.
Chateau Bonnet Reserve Bordeaux '07, - Château Bonnet lies to the North of the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the clay-chalk slopes of the commune of Grézillac, overlooking the Dordogne valley some 10km south of Saint Emilion. The estate dates back to the 17th century; when André Lurton took over in 1956, it comprised 30 hectares of vineyard, which he immediately undertook to renovate and develop. Andre has crafted this refreshing, juicy red from classic Bordeaux varietals 50% Cabernet and 50% Merlot
Chateau Greysac '06, Medoc, France - A beautiful medium bodied left-bank Bordeaux loaded with red fruits with mild tannins upon release. 50% Cabernet, 38% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. |
