Happy Holidays!

Greetings!

The holidays are here and we're feeling the cheer at Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux. We've got some holiday tunes playing, some great seasonal beverages a-brewin', and having fabulous customers like you is the best gift we could ask for. Thanks for being a part of our B3 Family and for making 2009 a better year than we could have imagined.
December Beers: Warm Up & Chill Out with Winter Brews!

In cold weather, nothing warms you up quite like a good winter beer. When temperatures drop, brews are more full bodied, with extra richness thanks to heaping helpings of barley malt. And with less water in the mix, winter beers also deliver more nutrition and a higher alcohol content (look out!) than typical summer quenchers. If you want to banish a winter chill, it's best to serve winter beers no colder than 50 degrees Fahrenheit so that their delicious flavors can come forward. Ready to try a few? Come on by this month to warm up and chill out with our festive collection of winter-worthy beers.

Harpoon Winter Warmer (MA) The first Harpoon seasonal Harpoon winter warmerbeer, this brew has overall smooth, medium bodied character spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bell's Cherry Stout (MI) One of Bell's most popular seasonal beers and perfect for a cold winter day.  A mysterious dance of tart Michigan cherries with the dark, roasted malts of a big and bold stout.

Ol' Red Cease and Desist Scottish Ale, Erie Brewing Company, (PA) This high potency seasonal dark red Scottish style ale has a powerful caramel malt flavor, finishing climatically with a smooth warming sensation.

Terrapin Rye Big Hoppy Monster Imperial Red Ale, (GA) One of Terrapins limited release seasonal series of truly unique brews! Not for the faint at heart, this beautiful ruby colored ale is bursting with a multitude of flavors and aromas matched by no other beer.
Wines: Navarro Correas

This month we're introducing wine from Navarro Correas, a wine-making family descending from the Correas family, an old and prestigious name dating back to 1798, when Sir Juan de Dios Navarro CorreasCorreas planted the first vine seeds in the lands of Mendoza at the foot of the Andes ridge. Navarro Correas stands out for the careful selection of grapes and the use of a special vinification process, including techniques that respect the traditional methods while combining them with state-of-the-art technologies to produce world-class wines. This month we'll be pouring Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec wines. Stop by and give them a sip.

While you are here, also try our two new limited production bordeauxs (by the bottle only), plus a California Zinfadel and a Tempranillo from Spain.

It's time to get your cozy on with some cuddle-worthy lattes that will leave you singing "let it snow! Let it snow!" (Of course, it won't. This is Florida, but these lattes are the next best thing!). Give these seasonal lattes a sip: Eggnog Latte (creamy eggnog and espresso sprinkled with nutmeg); Candy Cane Mocha Latte (refreshing and minty peppermint syrup, Ghiradelli chocolate, steamed milk and espresso); or the scrumdiliumptous S'Mores Latte (toasted marshmallow syrup, chocolate sauce, steamed milk and espresso).

We're still whipping up our tasty  Milk Steamers-a shot of flavored syrup added to your choice of milk and frothed to perfection. It's a caffeine free, low calorie steamy treat.

Something else new we are excited to bring you is Vita Boost!  Whether you are feeling a little under the weather, or needing to keep your immunity up, you can add a packet of vitamins to any hot or cold drink for only $0.79!

        Seasonal Coffee

Want a cup of coffee with a little season flare? Our coffee of the month is "Winter Blend" from Jittery Joes Coffee Roasting Company. Winter Blend is a combination of Kenya AA and full-city roasted Colombian Supremo.  Both coffees are strong and assertive on their own and combine to make a full-flavored cup.  Roasting the Colombian slightly darker than normal brings out some fruitiness that complements the chocolate-covered cherry aspects of the Kenya.
