Movie Night at B3!
Jen and
Darrell go on a Field
Trip!

The weekend of October 25th and 26th we went to Athens, Georgia.  "Why?", you might ask?  Well, it's the home City of two of our favorite things:  Jittery Joe's Coffee and the Terrapin Beer Company. We had a chance to visit and tour both the roaster and the brewery while on the way to our friends' (Mike and Kamil's) wedding.  It was great way to see the quality and effort that go into making these fine products. Below is a picture of us with Charlie, the master roaster, behind Jittery Joe's great flavors.

Look for more great products and flavors from Jittery Joe's and Terrapin Brewery this Fall at B3!

Another cool thing we did on our trip is have a few beers with our buddy Eric Murphy, Team Manager for the Myogenesis Cycling Team and a few of the local pro cyclists - Ryan Sullivan of Jittery Joe's and John Murphy of Healthnet.

B-Come a Legend October Winner!

This month we congratulate Carolyn F., one of our favorite regulars, as the winner of our monthly contest.  Her tasty treat is a new flatbread creation called the "Bogart".  It is served up on our famous fresh-baked flatbread and topped with olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, goat cheese, black olives and fresh basil.

Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry - keep them coming!  Don't forget, you can email your entries to us to:bserved@bikesbeansandbordeaux.com
OUC 1/2 Marathon and B3 Team Up!

We are excited to announce that B3 has been chosen by Florida Citrus Sports (FCS) as a water station location for the OUC 1/2 Marathon & 5K on Saturday, December 6th!  This is a huge and wonderful opportunity for us.  There were approximately 2,500 participants last year!
 ouc
So to make this a glaring success, FCS is asking us to guarantee a large amount of volunteers.  30, to be exact.  We told them we would not have a problem fulfilling this request.....because, after all, they don't know how great our family and friends are!

We need to be set up by 7 AM and will have free coffee and bagels for you - not that you need an incentive, of course!  You will also get a t-shirt from Florida Citrus Sports.

If you and your family can make it (kids are welcome to come and cheer), please email us ASAP and make sure you let us know your t-shirt size.

There is a little nip in the air as we head into November! As you are getting out the coats, B3 will be there to warm you up from the inside out with a nice cup of hot coffee, chai, tea or hot chocolate.  If you need something a little more lively, we'll also have Woodpecker Cider this month.

Do you need a break from the hustle and bustle of planning Thanksgiving or want to compliment your holiday feast with something different?  Check out our platter options from soups and salads all the way to dessert.  No matter how little or big your order is, we have you covered.

We have a wide variety of fun events, delicious food and drinks planned for everyone this month!

On Friday, October 31st, we will have treats for the little ones in costume all day, and will be showing "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" at 7:00 PM.  All Oktoberfest beers and the Wolavers Organic Pumpkin ale are at Happy Hour pricing for the rest of the week!

Most importantly don't forget to vote November 4th!  Check out our coupon at the bottom of the newsletter as we celebrate our right to choose the leaders of our community and country.

Belgian Beers, Cider and Cyclocross

Cyclo-cross (sometimes cyclocross, CX, cyclo-X or 'cross) is a form of bicycle racing. Races take place typically in the autumn and winter (the international or "World Cup" season is darrell crossSeptember-January), and consists of many laps of a short (2.5-3.5  km or 1.5-2  mile) course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike while navigating the obstruction and remount in one motion. Despite becoming an increasingly global sport with major events happening throughout Europe and all over the world, Cyclo-cross has its roots firmly embedded in northern Belgium.  The most famous riders and the best races are from Belgium.

For many in attendance the best part of the entire venue is the beer tent. Beer is bought with tokens available from a kiosk so that bartenders don't have to handle cash (or add up - one beer = one token, two beers = two tokens, and so on). So this month we feature three great beers with Belgian roots; Leffe Blonde, Stella Artios, Chimay and Avery White Rascal.  Another wonderful winter drink we'll also have that is not from Belgium is Woodpecker Cider.

So come on in and warm up your insides with some Belgian cheer!

November Wines - A Taste of South America

With several races in South America including the Tour of Ecuador, we thought it would be fun to feature wines from that continent.  South American wines come in dozens of grape varietals from hundreds of different vineyards and bottlers. The Latin American passion for good living and eating has injected a Latin flavor into the high-quality wines of South America. This month we feature both a Malbec and Chardonay by Terrazas.  Along with this we will be featuring a Cabernet Sauvignon by Casa Lapostelle.

Try a South American wine tour for $10!

New Artist for November and December
Open House and DJ:
November 15th at 7:00 PM

Karolinka was born and raised in the city of Strakonice, Czech Republic. Karolinka first started exploring her artistic abilities with her American Flyersdegree in Cartography that she earned while still in the Czech Republic with her identical twin sister Magdalenka.

She describes her art influences as reflecting not only what she has hidden in her imagination, but also what she observes in the daily world surrounding us. Hints of eastern religion that can be recognized in some pieces reflect Karolinka's search for a peace of heart. Most striking is her talent for mixing bold colors, and giving each of her pieces a different mood and personality of their own.

Come meet Karolinka and see her amazing work Saturday November 15th at 7:00.  We will have Live DJ music along with food and drink specials.
Movie Night at B3!
Featuring: "Quicksilver"
Thursday, November 20th at 7:30PM

It is back for November, Movie Night!  This month we'll be showing the 1986 movie, Quicksilver. This flick features an all-American Flyersstar cast, and of course bicycles.  "Quicksilver" is a fun movie with some great scenes featuring the ins and outs of being a bicycle messenger.

The story: Jack Casey (Kevin Bacon) is a brash yuppie broker who ends up losing his and his parents' wealth playing the stock market. What's Jack's next move? To drop out of the corporate rat race and become a bike messenger. Jack finds his new "free-wheeling" co-workers to be a diverse bunch, and he especially likes the down-and-out, sensitive Terri (Jami Gertz). But Jack also discovers that Terri and other messengers have an illegal and lucrative sideline delivering drugs for the nefarious drug dealer Gypsy. Can Jack rescue Terri from Gypsy's dangerous grip?  Come and find out!

Of course the movie is free and so is the popcorn!
