MUSIC AND THE MILITARY HEADLINE THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AT FUNTOWN

Saco, Maine - Memorial Day weekend is known as the official start to the summer tourist season. However at Funtown in Saco, its also means that the park will be buzzing as Soul Jam 2010 sets up for its ninth year. And on Memorial Day, active military and families of deployed troops will get a huge discount.
SOUL JAM 2010
Since 2002, Soul Jam has been a staple at Funtown, setting up multiple stages of Christian music and entertainment. This year's headlining acts include the bands Kutlass, Sidewalk Prophets, Everyday Sunday, The Wrecking and Unspoken. Two additional stages will be set up with the headliners performing at the Picadilly Corner Stage, near the park's Main Entrance.
Thousands of people attend this event each year, which has consistently grown in both size and star power. Soul Jam 2010 is produced by the Worship Radio Network out of Augusta, Maine.
MEMORIAL DAY DISCOUNT
On Memorial Day Monday May 31, for the first time Funtown will be offering free and discounted admission to active military families. Active personnel get into the park for free, and their immediate families will be half-price.
If the active duty member of the family is currently deployed overseas, the park will still extend the half-price discount to the immediate family when they show their dependent ID.
Soul Jam 2010 is held on Saturday May 29 from 11am to 7pm. There is no additional fee beyond the park admission to see Soul Jam 2010 entertainment. The park is scheduled to be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 7pm and on Monday Memorial Day from 11am to 5pm. All times are weather permitting.
