Message From The President |
|
Welcome to October! I hope you're having a wonderful time settling into the school year so far.
I'd like to thank our Fall Social chairwomen, Kristi Muse and Noelle Salmon, for hosting such a lovely event. The Fall Social gave everyone the chance to get to know each other, tour the high school, and learn about both the history and future of Westwood. I'd also like to thank all the amazing Booster Club and Westwood staff volunteers that made the night such a success! The food and wine were delicious, and it was fun to see all the different dishes people brought.
We followed the Social with a very successful online Annual Fund. A successful Annual Fund keeps Westwood strong and allows it to continually meet the needs of our children. I feel so lucky and proud to be part of this wonderful community!
Speaking of our community, remember to come to the Community Meeting on October 4th at 6pm at the main campus! It's a wonderful chance to learn about new and expanded programs at the school, hear about upcoming events, and listen to and participate in a general Q&A. Two of the things I love about the 'business end' of Westwood are their well-researched plans and their openness to new ideas. Both of these come together at the Community Meeting where you can satisfy your curiosity. Additionally, the theme for the Spring Gala and Auction will be announced by our fabulous and excited co-chairs, Cara Wood and Jen Weintraub Robinson. You DON'T want to miss it! Finally, make sure the Sock Hop is on your calendar for November 3rd and the Spring Gala and Auction for March 9th!
Enjoy this beautiful weather!
Sincerely,
Whitney Lemons PBC President
We're always open to your ideas, question, concerns, and, of course, your offers to help! |
The Parent Booster Club Fall Reception was a great success! Thanks to new families, returning families and staff, we had an incredible turn out. We thank all of you for taking time to socialize with the community and discover all the ways you can get involved with the Booster Club and the school.
It is always exciting to see so many new families being welcomed by the veteran families and staff! Mr. Greenall, the new High School Director, was introduced to everyone and enjoyed the opportunity to meet and mingle with parents from all levels of the school. This event, as with all PBC activities, wouldn't have been possible without the volunteers who help pull it all together. Thanks so much to those who helped with set up, check-in, re-filling food, and clean up. Also, thank you to everyone who brought all the delicious food, desserts, and wine, what a selection!
We hope this event served as a springboard to a terrific year for all our families!
