Niagara Sport Commission Welcomes the Olympic Torch |
Celebrate the Torch as it travels through the region and show Canada that Niagara BELIEVES...
The Olympic spirit will shine bright throughout Niagara on December 20th and 21st when the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay travels to the region.
St. Catharines will host a mid-day community celebration in the downtown core to welcome the Olympic Flame on December 20th from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m.
Niagara Falls welcomes the torch with evening celebrations to follow at Table Rock at the brink of the Falls, closing with a fireworks show on December 20th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Welland will celebrate the torch's arrival at the Welland Civic Square with local entertainment, interactive games and exhibits on December 21st from 11:00am - 1:00pm.
We encourage all sport organizations and their members to demonstrate their Olympic spirit by attending the festivities and welcoming the Torch to Niagara.
