Christmas at Trinity Church

"I have come not to bring peace, but a sword."   The Prince of Peace said that!  What do you suppose he meant?  I've posted some thoughts about that on e-piphanies.com .

I invite your comments.

I'll see you in church!

Choir on Vacation
The Choir is on its Summer Vacation.  Take a moment to let our choristers know how much their ministry means to us and wish them a safe and restful vacation.  They will return in September.

Children's Christian Formation

During the summer, we will have Veggie Tales Hour at the usual Sunday School time, 10:15 a.m.. Enjoy popcorn, goldfish and juice spending time with Larry the Cucumber, Junior the Asparagus and Bob the Tomato.  We will need one or two parents each Sunday to sit with the children during the movie.  Diocesan policy requires us to have two-deep leadership in activities with children.  You must have taken the Safeguarding God's Children training. If you will help, contact Karen Peterson (jkspete@sbcglobal.net).

The Children's Ministry Team met on Tuesday, June 3, to get organized for the next year.  The following leadership roles were established:

Communications - Karen Peterson
Scheduling - Amy Neblett
Preparation and Training - Karen Peterson and Danielle Alvarado
Materials - Greg Whitaker
Recruiting - Gina Thomas
Group Activity Coordinator - Pamela Petty
Nursery - Danielle Alvarado

Contact any of them to offer your assistance!

Your input is invited as planning process begins

The rector and vestry have begun a planning process focused on ways to stimulate participation and growth in pursuit of our mission.  The diocese has recommended Friendswood consultant Chris Turner and we have retained her to assist us in the first stage of the process.  She will be conducting interviews and gathering information during June and July.  If you have ideas or suggestions to help make Trinity flourish, please call Chris Turner at 218-482-0266 (office), 832-867-6450 (cell) , or email at turnermediation@sbcglobal.net after June 17.

Trinity Logo Clear

Wear your Trinity lapel pin!

By wearing your Trinity lapel pin, you invite others to ask about its significance, thereby providing a natural opportunity to speak about your church and its meaning for your life.  If you do not own a lapel pin, you may purchase one at a cost of $5 in the parish office.  The pin displays the arms of Trinity Church, the same as our banner.
