From the Rector
Christians often confuse deliberation with mission. We are not "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people" so we can have meetings or sit around feeling special. St. Peter says Christians are given this identity "in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." We are not supposed to be defined by our meetings but by our message!
I've posted a few more thoughts about this at
and invite your comments.
I'll see you in church!

We have openings in the following positions:
Tour Guides are needed for Sundays and for tour groups by appointment during the week. We want to be able to provide tours every Sunday and to respond positively to the increasing number of requests from groups. The more people out there helping us spread Trinity's story, the better!
Photographers are needed to take photos of new members and at events around the parish. All you need is a digital camera and the memory to bring it with you.
Worship Leaders are needed to sustain our ministry of Evening Prayer every weekday at 5:30 p.m. in the church.
Wedding Guild Members are needed to assist with Trinity Weddings from time to time.
If you are able to assist in any of these ways, please let us know by sending a message to info@trinitygalv.org.

Children's Christian Formation
Children's Sunday at Trinity was awesome! Nineteen of our Godly Play children processed in together and heard the Godly Play story of the Jesus, the Good Shepherd told by Katrina Griffith. The children were invited to the communion table by Father Pogue to watch the preparation of the oblations and receive a special communion together with their parents. Catherine Thomas, Lee Jaworski and Libbie Lee Ansell carried the cross and banners; Sean Peterson and Joanie Kelso carried the oblations.
Special thanks to all who helped and especially Gina Thomas, Karen Peterson, Amy Neblett, Danielle Alvarado, Martha Cuenod, Trish Clason, Suzette Schultz. Many thanks to an anonymous friend who created a special gift from the children, beautiful bookmarks of the Good Shepherd window. If you missed this Sunday in church, you can pick up the bookmark in the church office or in the narthex on Sundays.
