From the Rector
Think about the shepherd's staff for a minute. Most of us are not shepherds or sheep ranchers, but that crooked stick still speaks to us. The shephered can use it in a variety of ways. It can be used to draw a wayward sheep back into the flock or rescure one from danger. It can be used to prod a member of the flock along. It can be used to repel predators who can harm the flock. When you think of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, remember the shepherd's staff and how it might be used to help you and protect you in your journey of faith.

It makes our hearts glad when. . .
* Libbie Ansell leads a team that presents a very successful Heart Ball benefitting the American Heart Association.
* So many people contribute items and their time and energy to the Trash and Treasure Sale, under the leadership of Anne Bentley, raising $6,000 for our ministries!
· Trish Clason and Cathy Hanson do such a great job at giving tours that between the last two tours given we received over $1000 in donations.

for a
for a Pretty Planet

In an effort to minimize the use of styrofoam cups for our coffee at Trinity, we are asking everyone to bring ugly mugs to the church kitchen. Our ugly mugs will help our stewardship of the environment and help us have a pretty planet. Please don't bring mugs that are chipped or cracked or mugs with slogans or advertisements. Bring as many as you can. When we have enough, we'll put the remaining mugs in the Trash and Treasure sale on April 5.

The ECW Spring Luncheon which will be held on April 26, 2008, in Eaton Hall at 11:30. In addition to the lunch, we will have two wonderful speakers from the Diocesan ECW Board, Anne Hart Rea and Ellen Cook. All women are invited to come for good food, fellowship and an exciting program. Please call Gloria Schlemmer, 409-740-8942, or Anne Browne, 409-457-9634, if you are attending. We want to have enough food for you!

We have openings in the following positions:
Tour Guides are needed for Sundays and for tour groups by appointment during the week. We want to be able to provide tours every Sunday and to respond positively to the increasing number of requests from groups. The more people out there helping us spread Trinity's story, the better!
Photographers are needed to take photos of new members and at events around the parish. All you need is a digital camera and the memory to bring it with you.
Worship Leaders are needed to sustain our ministry of Evening Prayer every weekday at 5:30 p.m. in the church.
If you are able to assist in any of these ways, please let us know by sending a message to info@trinitygalv.org.
