It is time for a reminder of the Millenium Development Goals.  I've posted a brief message about the MDGs along with a wonderful video produced by kids from All Saints' Episcopal Church in Los Angeles, describing what they are doing to support them.  Take a look!

Ugly Mugs
for a

for a Pretty Planet

Christmas at Trinity Church

In an effort to minimize the use of styrofoam cups for our coffee at Trinity, we are asking everyone to bring ugly mugs to the church kitchen.  Our ugly mugs will help our stewardship of the environment and help us have a pretty planet.  Please don't bring mugs that are chipped or cracked or mugs with slogans or advertisements.  Bring as many as you can.  When we have enough, we'll put the remaining mugs in the Trash and Treasure sale on April 5.

ECW Butterfly

 ECW Spring Luncheon

The ECW Spring Luncheon which will be held on April 26, 2008, in Eaton Hall at 11:30.  In addition to the lunch, we will have two wonderful speakers from the Diocesan ECW Board, Anne Hart Rea and Ellen Cook.  All women are invited to come for good food, fellowship and an exciting program. Please call Gloria Schlemmer, 409-740-8942, or Anne Browne, 409-457-9634, if you are attending.  We want to have enough food for you!

Help Wanted!

We have openings in the following positions:

Tour Guides are needed for Sundays and for tour groups by appointment during the week.  We want to be able to provide tours every Sunday and to respond positively to the increasing number of requests from groups.  The more people out there helping us spread Trinity's story, the better!

Photographers are needed to take photos of new members and at events around the parish.  All you need is a digital camera and the memory to bring it with you.

Worship Leaders are needed to sustain our ministry of Evening Prayer every weekday at 5:30 p.m. in the church.

If you are able to assist in any of these ways, please let us know by sending a message to info@trinitygalv.org.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR YOUTH

To the Trinity Episcopal Youth Group,

This thank you is long overdue!!!  I want to tell everyone that our clients had such a great time with you all on Sunday evening.  You all did a wonderful job picking activities as they were appropriate for all of our residents to participate in.  I know that each resident enjoyed visiting with you.  I appreciated how well everyone interacted with our guys, it can be challenging sometimes, and everyone jumped right in.  You all are welcome back anytime you want to throw another party, or if you just want to come and visit with a few of our residents.  I know they would enjoy it.  Thank you so much for putting a great program together!!

Sincerely,

The Staff at TideWay

Noah's Ark

Everything I need to know about life,
I learned from Noah's Ark
One
: Don't miss the boat.
Two
: Remember that we are all in the same boat.
Three
: Plan ahead.  It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
Four
: Stay fit.  When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
Five
: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
Six
: Build your future on high ground.
Seven
: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
Eight
: Speed isn't always an advantage.  The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
Nine
: When you're stressed, float a while.
Ten
: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
Eleven : No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.
