Catalyze Community Update December 12, 2007
Greetings!

Thank you again for joining the Catalyze community.  This will be my final update email for 2007, and I want to thank all members for helping to make Catalyze the number one destination community for business analysts, usability professionals and others who define and design software applications and websites.

Besides peace in our world, all I want for Christmas is for Catalyze to reach 2,500 members.  We just passed 2,300 members this week - and we can reach the milestone if 1 out of every 10 of you invite just one friend or colleague to join Catalyze (or even better, if each of you does it!).

I'm looking forward to a bigger and better Catalyze community next year - have a safe and wonderful holiday season and see you in 2008!

Catalyze Webcast with Charlie Kreitzberg - December 13 @2pm EST
Our last Catalyze webcast of 2007 will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 11am PST/2pm EST.  Charlie Kreitzberg will present Web 2 and You: How Web 2.0 will Catapult Business Analysts and Usability Professionals into Center Stage - a discussion around Web 2.0 and how addressing both the design and organizational challenges that we face in creating successful web communities will lead to new roles and opportunities.

Dr. Kreitzberg is CEO of Cognetics Corporation (www.cognetics.com)  and is active in both the usability and IT communities.

You can sign up for the webcast at this link - if you miss the webcast, we will record it and post to Catalyze by December 18th.

Catalyze LinkedIn and Facebook Groups
Expand your Network with LinkedIn and Facebook

LinkedIn
To expand the Catalyze brand and to facilitate networking, we have created a special Catalyze LinkedIn group.
Simply click this link to confirm your membership in the LinkedIn Catalyze group  (note, you need to use the same email address used to join Catalyze or you will be added to the pending approval list which generally clears in less than 24 hours).  More than 25% of all Catalyze members have already joined this group.

Facebook
In addition and to provide access in a different channel, we have set up a Catalyze Facebook group.
The Catalyze Facebook Group is an open group - anyone can join and invite others to join, and anyone can see the group information, the discussion board, the wall, videos, photos, and posted items.  About 10% of Catalyze members have joined the Facebook group.

Join both groups to double your networking potential!
There's one more thing you can do.  Please bookmark Catalyze on del.icio.us by using the link in the middle of the left navigation area.  More than 300 people have already tagged Catalyze and I would love to increase that number substantially.

Thank you checking out Catalyze again - and for helping us become the number one destination community for business analysts and usability professionals.

And please contact me if you have any questions or comments about the community.

Sincerely,

Tom Humbarger, Community Manager
