To Mother's Everywhere
and especially to
My Mother on Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day, to my mother and to mothers everywhere.

You have probably heard it said that one cannot truly appreciate their mother until one is a mother.  And I know that each day I grow and learn through parenting, I come to appreciate my own mother more and more.  So for me it is true, that as a mother I love and appreciate my mother more than ever.

I also believe for others who have not been able to experience motherhood, either by choice, by circumstance, or because of gender, that as we mature and grow wiser through our life experiences, we all can become more appreciative of the love and devotion, the pain and suffering, the faithful dedication and enduring feelings of all mothers.

When we look at the struggles of a woman in poverty in some third world country, we know a tiny bit of her sorrow.  Of how her greatest fear is that her children will suffer.

Or we see and experience the joy of a mother who sees her child triumph and succeed, and we, too, feel the joy in her heart that cannot be contained, as we saw and felt the joy of Michael Phelp's mother each time her son touched the finish pad in the pool in Bejing.

And so we relate to mothers everywhere.  We all have within us the ability to feel for others.  We all have experienced joy for others achievements.  In our lives we have felt pride for a friend or coworkers ability to overcome difficulties.  We have quietly loved others from a distance and wished them well, praying silently for them, although we ourselves felt helpless to change their circumstances.  We watch others get sick and we keep a silent vigil, even from a distance.

Like a mother, we can offer love unconditionally.  We have seen people suffer and we have felt love and sympathy for them, even if we did not know them.  We can feel a mother's love for an orphaned child who looks with longing through a camera lens.  We see those who suffer and we long to love them.

And like a mother we enjoy seeing others triumph.  We love the underdogs and the boy who was told by his seventh grade teacher that he would never be successful, we swell with pride when he becomes an international superstar winning eight gold medals.

So I am a mother.  And maybe you are, too, for we have been given the opportunity to feel.  To feel what a mother feels.  And today I feel love and gratitude that my mother brought me up exactly as she did, because I am happy with the woman I am today.  And she deserves a great amount of credit.

As a mother I feel for my children.  As a mother I feel their pain and I feel their sorrow deep in my heart.  As a mother I feel their joy and I am overjoyed at their successes.  I swell with pride when their talents and gifts are noticed by others.  As a mother I enjoy watching them learn and grow as humans and I love to see them understand their greatest longings - to be who they were meant to be.  As a mother I want the best for my children, always.

And as a woman, I feel for everyone I know.  And I want what is best for everyone.  I want everyone to experience things deep inside, so they may learn and grow.  I want others to share their gifts and I, too, feel pride when they succeed.  And for every man and woman in the world, I want what is best for each, so that we may have what is best for our world.  We want it to grow and we want to grow with it.  We want peace and love and harmony.

We all feel for one another, we pray for strangers, we cry for those we may never meet, and we jump with joy for the success of people we know from a distance.  We are all connected and perhaps it is the mother in all of us that keeps us together.  It is the love that we all long for, the need to be needed, that longing to be loved unconditionally and the desire to help, and it comes from a nurturing soul that we share collectively. We have a mother within each of us and we give love and nurture each other everyday.

So Happy Mother's Day.  Feel the love.

I am a mother.  And I feel.

And because I am, I just want to say thank you, Mom, for letting me be me.  I love you very much.

With love to everyone on Mother's Day,
Cat

Tonight is my Spirit Led Sunday teleconference. However I will not be on the call tonight.  I will be with my children celebrating Mother's Day at Epcot here in Orlando, Florida.  About the time some of you will be on the call I will be watching the fireworks display over the lagoon at Epcot.

This week the Sunday night call will be facilitated by my good friend, Jen Lee.  She is a very special lady with healing and intuitive gifts to share with you.  Please join her this Sunday night, May 10th at 8 p.m. central time.

If you are able to join Jen this Sunday, then we ask you to send love offerings to her at:Jen Lee, PO Box 141, Fox Island, WA 98333.

You may read more about Jen at her website:
www.jenleereadingsandhealings.com

What we begin on Sundays is for you to use throughout the week.  Through increased awareness of Spirit everday you may experience greater peace, joy, and prosperity.  The results vary, but always as our  relationship with the Divine grows stronger, the better your life will be.

And there is more to come.  For those who are already in touch with their intuitive gifts, or who are ready to practice using their gifts to help others, then register and join me Wednesday evenings at 8:00 p.m. central time.  This is a special group for intuitives, healers, and other lightworkers to help you grow and support one another.

For those who would like to learn how to learn more about intuition and the use of the Tarot, I begin a new Tarot class this Tuesday evening.  Contact me for more information.

I hope to talk with you soon.

Have a Beautiful Mother's Day and remember to contact your Mother today.  If she is in Spirit, then still, she is listening...and loves you very, very much.
