Greetings! |
Spring is finally here and what a great time to cleanse right before summer. We are starting to get some amazing produce from BC and some local hothouse grown foods too. I encourage you to research on juice feasting, herbal cleanses, liver cleanses, the raw food diet, which is very cleansing and consider making some dietary changes.
We all need a season of cleansing, so top in and ask what products work well, rent a book, consider a live blood analysis or take a raw food class and be sure to stop in at the Farmer's Market and buy some fresh local organic produce. |

KALE: Optimize Your Cells' Detoxification / Cleansing Ability
|
For about 20 years, we've known that many phytonutrients work as antioxidants to disarm free radicals before they can damage DNA, cell membranes and fat-containing molecules such as cholesterol. Now, new research is revealing that phytonutrients in crucifers, such as kale, work at a much deeper level. These compounds actually signal our genes to increase production of enzymes involved in detoxification, the cleansing process through which our bodies eliminate harmful compounds. The phytonutrients in cruciferous vegetables initiate an intricate dance inside our cells in which gene response elements direct and balance the steps among dozens of detoxification enzyme partners, each performing its own protective role in perfect balance with the other dancers. The natural synergy that results optimizes our cells' ability to disarm and clear free radicals and toxins, including potential carcinogens, which may be why cruciferous vegetables appear to significantly lower our risk of cancer. Recent studies show that those eating the most cruciferous vegetables have a much lower risk of prostate, colorectal and lung cancer-even when compared to those who regularly eat other vegetables. BANFF SPRING, BANFF NATIONAL PARK |
We have many people still asking us where we get our spring water. Click the image for directions. One of our customers took this photo. Just head West on Highway 1 from Banff town, take the Johnstons Canyon turnoff 1A travel down this road a couple kilometers until the road becomes divided just before the divide you will see the spring on your right hand side. Place a plastic bottle with a handle on the ledge to collect and then pour into your glass bottles to store. | |
