Most believer's know that there will be a final destruction of this world as we know it based from what the Scriptures tell us; but until that hour comes, we are commanded to occupy and to make disciples by teaching the good news message of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that it is the "goodness" of God that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4). Unfortunately, most are communicating what the world is selling [fear] mixed with a little Bible scripture in order to add some divine clout to their judgments. It doesn't take a sharp person to see that this world has some major problems in it because of the sinful actions of so many; yet to use an example of logic from the natural: people with a certain expertise in their particular field of business are called on to solve problems within the company, otherwise they are not hired to do the job. However, if these experts are brought on...they look for what other managers apparently were missing or overlooking and they get clarity which breeds success. These managers don't turnaround defunct businesses on accident by simply echoing the same message that all the previous management used as an excuse to cover up their ineptness to lead with vision through difficult times.

 

It's much like the humorous story of the positive General and his five remaining soldiers who were surrounded by their enemy who was closing in for the kill and they inquired of this General what they should do. His remark was indescribable, "We have them surrounded men, don't let one of them get away!" Where are all of the penetrating voices of the King of kings that can see a better outcome than most are willing to believe really exists? In this weeks devotional I hope we can help you get your eyes back on the real focus and off of all of those negative day to day distractions that are being used to recruit and hire future reporters of bad news. You need not apply for that position, there are way too many already! As Christians we have a Good News message that prophetically declares the good intentions of God towards man and encourages 

them to walk in it without fear. However, if the world can pollute your talk with its negative influences promoted through fearful lies; though you are a believer your communication will be laced with a poison that will contribute to destroying dreams, purpose, and hope within people and yourself. What a tragedy to emulate or represent God in such a negative fashion as to be one of His offspring and then telling the world the wrong message or worse yet, believing the wrong message.

 

I realize that times have been better for many than they are right now; but we need to consider the Word of God instead of listening to all of these the false prophets in this world. The Bible teaches that life and death are in the power of the tongue. And as a believer, we must learn that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The media of our day promotes nothing but constant bad news and little if ever good news. Another revelation that is not surprising, is that the secular media has been found not to be very factual in its reporting methods at all. In other words, they hurl a barrage of negative reports that 

really has no merit to validate that its true outside of hearsay or speculation in most cases, and yet masses of people will act on it as being the truth. I will give you an example: have you ever noticed on the Internet search engines how they list the top stories that people are browsing on that particular day? Depending on the news that is released, it becomes the hot topic to which everyone seeks to  know more about, therefore, they click that link. What would happen to that story if no one reported on it in the national media? It would simply be isolated to the knowledge of the few immediately connected to it within that location and fewer still would be affected by it.

 

We need to be careful where we get our information as it will affect what and how we think. Chickens have a limited and restricted perspective that can only observe things at ground level to what is in front of them. It is such a low position of life that will leave you constantly eating worms and having you always looking over your shoulder for fear of being preyed upon by foxes. Whereas, the Bible teaches us that we are to be like the eagle where we make our position in the mountain tops where visibility is not limited to the obstructions most noted to those in a low place of life. 

Circumstances look much different from a high position than it does when you are staring at it up close. The circumstance of life can look insurmountable when we are in close proximity to it. However, eagles don't live in low places; they will always ascend to a high vantage point giving them the ability to see their opportunities from afar off. It is imperative that you get your eyes off of the dreary reports that this world paints and onto a prophetic vantage point that lends support to your possibilities in God. You need to understand that life is bigger than just this moment that you may be facing. 

 

Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. 

 

Notice that when it comes to Manna there is no seed in it. In other words, it cannot be reproduced because it is given by God for that particular moment of time. It is supernatural. It is prophetic in that it is given for a specific purpose. We make a big mistake when we refer to natural bread and Manna as being the same. Bread is yielded from wheat which is seed bearing, whereas, Manna comes straight from God. He did not not need some rich dark soil of the earth that was perfect for growing to produce Manna either. God simply spoke it into existence. At some point in your life you are going to need to understand that we can no longer put our trust and life in the hands of this world's system for your provision. The moment you begin to put your provision in the arm of flesh will be the day you begin to be in want within an unstable world. You and I who are God's children do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. 

 

Romans 10:8 (KJV)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 

 

The foundation of our lives should be built on: God said! This is why we need to lay the proper foundation on what the apostles and the prophets declared to us in the written word which clearly reveals the known will of God for our lives. 

 

Ephesians 2:20-22 (KJV)
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. 

If we are to build successfully than we need to build on the right foundation, and of course, that can only be the same foundation that the early church built on. It's sad that there are so many being taught today that the prophetic is not needed anymore because we have the written Word of God. If the Word tells us that we are to be built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets than there should be a prophetic foundation under our spiritual feet. There has to be a prophetic vantage point that enables us to see from afar off what is out there available to us. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for! How could we ever hope for something that we could not see? It would be impossible! The word of God reveals the many things that we can hope in with great confidence, and the prophetic voice will declare it so! 

 

If you look at the primary mode of the eagle you will find that it is a majestic and glorious hunter. What the eagle continually does is hunt its prey in order to keep the next generation alive by providing for its family. Therefore, the eagle makes its nest in the high place of the mountain where it can see abroad of its many opportunities. The eagle does not scratch on the dirt like the chicken that eats the less desirable things of life. It is satisfied with fresh meat daily and enjoys the spectacular views of life. Therefore, if we are going to seize our opportunities than we will need to get out of the chicken pen and get to a high vantage point in order to see beyond the current circumstance that we may be facing at present. We do not have to remain spiritually blind any longer, we just need to get to a vantage point that unlocks the opportunities made available to us.

 

Isaiah 53:1 (KJV)
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 

 

I have to tell you that this report that Isaiah was reporting had nothing to do with a natural situation or a negative circumstance of life for the inhabitants of the earth. He was declaring from a prophetic vantage point that gave him the ability to see what others could not see. Isaiah saw from that prophetic vantage point the Savior of the world who would come and take away the sins of its people and heal them of their sicknesses. It was a "God said" moment that spilled out of Isaiah's mouth and he could not help but prophesy what he saw from that prophetic vantage point. He preserved hope for the generations after him. When we believe the Word of God we will see the the strength of the Lord revealed to us. 

 

Numbers 13:32 (KJV)
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 

 

This Scripture perfectly describes the negative reporters of CNN, NBC, ABC and every other negative voice in our world. This passage shows us that it didn't matter what God had told them about the land of milk and honey all they could report is the circumstances that will most certainly oppose them if they attempt to inhabit that land. As I was reading over this, I kept reading how they were saying that this land would surely be a land that eats up its inhabitants. Yet, why were there so many people living there if that were true? This story amazes me but it definitely describes the chicken position that I have already mentioned earlier. Think about it! God leads them out of Egypt from being a prisoner all of their days and into the wilderness where now they are faced with needing to cross over the Red Sea because of the oncoming enemy that is to their back and steadily moving closer. 

 

Then God parts the Red Sea and lets them cross over in safety and when their adversary tries to make their way through the same passage after them, the Lord crushes the enemy with the same waters that He parted to give escape. While in the desert they were heard crying out to heaven that they are hungry; and what does God do? He rains down Manna every day for them and their families. When there is no water because things are very dry in the wilderness, God provides water out of a rock. He covers them by day under a cloud, and by night He warms them with a pillar of fire. And yet, when they see that it takes two men to carry one cluster of grapes out of that land they can only report about the giants living there and would rather remain in the desert! This is what listening to the negative reports will do to you even though sustenance is all around you...you can't see it. Why? It is because you are living in a chickens position instead of an eagles. If the devil can get you to believe in lack or poverty instead of prosperity...he has you exactly where he wants you. If the devil can get you to believe in the sickness instead of the promise of health...he has you right where he wants you! The devil uses an evil report to get your eyes off of the high position and onto the low one. By faith mountains move...not by fear! Whose report are you going to believe?

 

Proverbs 15:30 (KJV)
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.

Bones are the foundation for the body. Can you imagine what you would look like if your bones were removed? Everything is connected to the structure of you're skeletal frame. We are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Everything that you are, is attached to a divine, God said! A good report put marrow in the bone. Marrow is the interior of the bone structure and from there the blood cells are manufactured. What keeps the marrow strong spiritually speaking? A good report! Your life is bigger than this present moment.

 

Psalms 11:3 (KJV)
3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

If we abandon the apostolic and the prophetic what are we going to do? We have been given a prophetic vantage point when we look at it from the position of the Word of God. If one loses their hope then there is no faith present. Without faith it is impossible to please God. 

Therefore, faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.We must get a prophetic vantage point that will fuel our voice with power to speak it!

 

Ezekiel 37:1-4 (KJV)
1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

From what vantage point are you building your life around? Remember your life is bigger than this moment. If we keep our bones moist with a good report we will be able to stand under the weight of any attack. If we fail to manage our life from where it is today by not getting to a prophetic vantage point in God's Word...we will not be able to manage our tomorrow or our future successfully. The Bible describes you as an eagle...why on earth would you ever want to portray yourself as a chicken by living beneath your privileges in God? A Holy Ghost wind is stirring, spread your wings and let it lift you to your rightful place. Amen!
