18 If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. 

Today's devotional will focus on a door that has divine activity coming in and out from the presence of God our Father. I taught this last Sunday to my congregation and it rocked the house through its revelatory knowledge and there was demonstrations of the Holy Spirit that followed the preaching. I hope you will let this bless your soul as it encourages you to see what you have within you.
 
The New Living Translation reads like this: "When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful." God meant for you and I to trust the navigational mechanism that He would impart to those who would ask for it. This endowment is not an automatic gift that you receive just because you receive salvation through accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior. No, this is a gift that you have to ask for in addition to, in order to receive its indwelling power within your life.
 
I realize that there are differences on this particular statement from opposing camps that believe in Christ just as much as I do, but the Word of God and the proof of this special impartation in the lives of us that have received this gift of power cannot be argued. Therefore, these can only argue from a position of what they don't have in their life, where for this is the reason they must have an explanation of dispute to support the absence of the Holy Spirit's manifestation in their life as was poured out at the Day of Pentecost unto the church.
 
The Bible is a progressive revelation which empowers us with the truth of what every believer has in Jesus Christ. We cannot say we believe that the Word of God is infallible and then turn around and dismiss portions of it that may not be working within our life for the moment. I have not raised the dead of anyone physically on a personal level as of yet, but I believe that I have received the authority in Jesus' name to go and raise the dead, as the Word of God reveals this very truth. The failure in it is not that God no longer does this kind of miracle through a person, but rather something is affecting it on our end.
 
Therefore, I will not explain it away so as to save face with people because something didn't work as I had hoped it would. As we continue to focus on the supernatural door to God's house in this devotional. I want you to get the revelation that you are a spiritual being that has been imparted with a special unction to know and see things of divine quality and impart those things into this world. However, without knowing the revealed Word of God and the accessibility of the Holy Spirit baptized into your body as His temple, than you will be less likely to pursue the kingdom God with all of its divine interests with any consistency. 
 
Job 33:14-18 (MSG)
14 God always answers, one way or another, even when people don't recognize his presence.
15 "In a dream, for instance, a vision at night, when men and women are deep in sleep, fast asleep in their beds-
16 God opens their ears and impresses them with warnings 17 To turn them back from something bad they're planning, from some reckless choice,
18 And keep them from an early grave, from the river of no return.

 

This passage of Scripture gives us every reason to have confidence that God always answers; unfortunately man does not always recognize it. Some may ask, Well how does God speak to us then? According to the Word of God, Job was well before the Law of Moses had been written on tablets by God himself, therefore, he did not have the Word of God in written form to read and get revelation as we do today through the Bible. God spoke through dreams and visions to reveal His purposes to His children. This was God's usual manner by which He communicated with the people.
 
Job 33:23-30 (NLT)
23 "But if an angel from heaven appears- a special messenger to intercede for a person and declare that he is upright-
24 he will be gracious and say, 'Rescue him from the grave, for I have found a ransom for his life.'
25 Then his body will become as healthy as a child's, firm and youthful again.
26 When he prays to God, he will be accepted. And God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing. 27 He will declare to his friends, 'I sinned and twisted the truth, but it was not worth it.
28 God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.'
29 "Yes, God does these things again and again for people.
30 He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life.

 

Notice in this passage that it is referring to a special messenger that will intercede for a person and declare that he is upright. This disproves the very notion that the Holy Ghost is here to reprove and bring Christians under strong conviction which generally feels like condemnation (John 16:7-15). I do believe however, that the Spirit of God will reprove the heathens in this world because of their sin, but concerning the believer He will talk of our righteousness in Christ. Would anyone like hanging out with someone that always pointed out what you aren't doing right all the time? I didn't think so, therefore, if we believe the Holy Ghost is always pointing out our faults then we would not want to hang out with Him either; and I believe this type of believing is the reason why so many avoid in getting close to Him.
 
When I know the Holy Ghost is my helper and comforter then I will want to get well acquainted with Him. This is awesome when I get the understanding of how this Scripture in Job speaks directly of Jesus Christ who came to this world to save and heal all the inhabitants. Doesn't the Word of God speak of intercessions being made on our behalf by a special messenger (Romans 8:26-27; 34)? When this Messenger speaks, even the body will become as healthy as a child and youthful again! And when this person receives from Him, he or she will pray to God, and they shall be accepted and in good standing with their Father. Look at our next passage of Scriptures that we may establish some powerful truths that is going to jazz your world.
 
Genesis 28:10-17 (KJV)
10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

 

As you read this I want you to remember that it was Abraham that had heard these very same words from God in his generation pertaining to the seed of promise. Then if you look in the Word of God you will see this same blessing was given to Isaac in his generation concerning his seed and for their provision. Then again we see it here pertaining to Jacob and his seed and for their divine provision from the same Father. I get really excited when I look at this, because I know that this same promise is given to every generation of believers in God the Father and His Son, who was the seed of promise for all of mankind, in every generation. Our seed shall multiply, they shall be protected, and they shall cause all the families of the earth to be blessed.
 
Now Jacob fell into a deep sleep and he dreamed seeing a ladder that was set upon the earth and lifted up to heaven: and there were angels of God ascending and descending. It was here that Jacob heard God reveal Himself and declare His word of promise over Jacob and his seed. This was not just a dream: it was an encounter with God. I tell you this place where God showed up in Jacob's life and where God revealed His extravagant promises, actually manifested the very entrance to God's house. Jacob was so blown away by this supernatural enlightenment that he was shocked that he had been in the very presence of God and didn't even recognize it. Jacob realized that it was none other than the house of God; and where he lay was at the gate to heaven!
 
If we understand what this is saying by revelation then we will easily see that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, inside of each believer in Christ Jesus there abides a door that has its entrance in one direction into God's house; and outside of God's house leads into the world that we see around us. We have the door or gate within us that gives us access into the Father's house. This is Scriptural because of the keys that Jesus gave each of us that believe.
 
Matthew 16:16-19 (MSG)
16 Simon Peter said, "You're the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
17 Jesus came back, "God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn't get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am.
18 And now I'm going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.
19 "And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven."

 

In other words, this passage tells us that God has revealed a secret to us that will believe on His Son Jesus. What is this secret? It is a revelation of who Jesus Christ really is. Now hold on, because this is going to get richer! In verse 18 it tells us that not only are we going to see Him as He is, but now He is going to tell us who we really are! Oh, my! And what is Jesus going to say concerning us? That we would be a church so expansive and filled with powers that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out. Notice the wording in this translation when it refers to the gates of hell. On one side of the door within a believer gives access or entrance into the Father's house, on the other side of the door it leads out into the wasteland or the gate of hell.
 
What is it that I am saying here? I'll explain it this way. We all know that this world figuratively speaking can be a hell on earth if we are in fact ignorant of the devils devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). It is also filled with diabolical activities of demons that pour out its many atrocities of torment and pain on the inhabitants of the earth. I don't mean to imply that this is the literal hell that the Bible speaks of that was created for Satan and his demons and will present itself at the end of this world. But none the less, this world does hold a great deal of horrible demonic events that causes sweeping destruction to the populace at its will. Therefore, every believer needs to get this revelation as to who they are and what they have in Christ. When this happens then the gates of hell will not be able to keep God's divine provision out! In other words, because we have direct access to draw from our Father's house whatever is in great supply there [health, wealth, deliverance, joy, peace, etc;], and with it we can impart to this world as the Father purposes for the saving of the lost and meeting our needs. Look at this next passage of Scripture and see if we don't have something marvelous inside of us.
 
Revelation 22:1-2 (KJV)
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

 

Please take note that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and according to John 7:38, "He that believeth on me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters." See the similarity of these healing waters mentioned in these two places of Scripture? Most every Christian understands that they have the Spirit of Christ living in their heart. However, I intend to show you something more glorious and full of power within you: this same Jesus is the living water that flows from out of the deepest recesses of our being. In other words, we can't have Jesus in us, and not have what He is in us! Jesus brings healing, prosperity, peace, joy, and every other thing that you could possibly be in need of today, and all the while it is in you this very moment in God's house. All you need to do is use the keys that Christ gave you and unlock the door and the angels will bring it to you. This world groans for the manifested sons of righteousness to bring forth from the treasury of God's house the abundance of provision that is there, and disburse it among the needy within this desolate place called the world. Why? That man should know that God loves him so much that He held nothing back to save him and meet his needs. I close with this next passage of Scriptures to enforce the truth of that door that is in every believer.
 
John 1:47-51 (KJV)
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

 

Did anyone ever see the animated movie called, "Monsters Inc?" Do you remember seeing the millions of doors that hung on the conveyer belt throughout the factory and then would be dropped into a positional slot so that the assigned monster could enter through that door? Whenever these monsters would enter through that door that they were assigned to, they would immediately be in a child's bedroom where here they would attempt to scare that child in order to collect the intensity of his or her screams. The story line was that they needed the power of the children's screams to power their city with the needed energy that those screams produced. Sounds like this movie came straight out of the Bible doesn't it?
 
As we can see through this illustration, there is a similar door in each of us that gives God access, through which his angels can ascend and descend bringing the treasures that have been requested by the saints of God. The Bible teaches that Jesus is that Door, and if anyone tries to come in any other way than through that "Door" into God's house, they are a thief. You and I that are born again in Jesus Christ have received the keys of the kingdom through which we have access to this door; and have the right to ask anything that is in God's house, your Father's house, and it will be given to you without fail. Only believe! If we do, then the gates of hell will not be able to keep out God's kingdom from taking all of the devil's territory. How else can you spoil a strongman's house, accept a stronger than he binds him, and then he will take what he wants at will. Jesus said, Behold I stand at the door and knock, if you hear my voice and open up to me, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends.
