The Laws of Stewardship are rooted in the immovable ground of God's promises. They are sure and certain, truths that we can count on. They are the absolutely positive teaching of Jesus, such as the Law of Guaranteed Return that He stated like this: "Give, and it will be given to you," He said, "a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." [Luke 6:38].

The purpose behind this promise is that we be motivated to give because it's a sensible investment. Spiritually speaking, there's virtually no risk but all reward. Any gift given for God's glory is backed by the infinite resources of the Bank of Heaven. There is no doubt about it, no cause for concern, no conditions under which the return is held back or held up. It will come.

"The Inspired Utterance of Miracles"

Luke 24:49 (KJV)
"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

Pastor Tommy 2009
We have been studying on the subject of miracles in the Word of God, and because of this we have been experiencing great miracles within our church services. The things you speak more consistently about will be the things that you will experience the most in your life. Therefore, this is what the Scripture points out when it talks about life and death is in the power of the tongue. I have been around many folks over the years that just sit around and talk about any and every negative thing within a faithless state of mind. Therefore, what begins to happen is that they seem to always experience negative manifestations within their own personal life, and because of this, they have nothing to talk about but the pains of life which are more real. They create them because they speak them into existence, they speak such defeating words, because their thoughts are consumed with negative information by which they dwell on continually. All utterance that we release out of our mouth is the vocal expression of our thought life. You will talk what you think! The Bible says it like this, "As a man thinks in his heart so is he" or "From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

Because our devotional is on the topic of miracles, I looked up the word "miracle" in the Webster's Dictionary; and it is described as something wonderful that contradicts known scientific laws, and is therefore, thought to be due to supernatural causes by a supernatural Deity. So, what we discover in this advancement to know the things that we are freely given from the Word of God, is we find that Webster correctly defines it: we are clothed with something wonderful! This is what happened when we received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. We were dressed in power to do exploits in the name of our God. What this is saying, is that you and I are proof providers of all the power that God has vested in our lives through the work of Christ in us. When we are wearing something wonderful then people ought to be able to see it. Sadly though, this is not the case in many Christian lives. Many have been taught from the holy Scriptures in error, acknowledging things such as the supernatural ended with the apostles which is based on the few if any miracles witnessed in most churches today, therefore, these folks remain no different from the non-believers of this world in most of their views concerning miracles.

We all can agree that Jesus had miracles in His mouth because He was always speaking things that contradicted the laws of physical nature. He was always changing what was deficient, and made it altogether whole. Jesus was not limited to the boundaries of this world even though He wore a human body like our own. Jesus had an indwelling within, that clothed Him with something so wonderful, that He went about in power such as never had been witnessed before in all of time. And to top it off, Jesus through the anointing of the Holy Spirit was delivering all of those who were being oppressed by the devil. There were some religious leaders of that day who accused Jesus of casting out devils by Beelzebub the chief of devils.

Yet, Jesus answered their accusation with these words, "Every kingdom divided against itself will crumble: if Satan be divided against himself, how therefore, shall his kingdom stand?" In other words, Jesus was saying if I were doing these things in the power of Satan who you call my father, then I am going around destroying my father's kingdom. Yet, if the truth be known, they knew exactly that He was of God, are else how could He do such things that He was performing in their midst. Let me touch on something of great importance here that I know have troubled some very sincere Christians who may have spoken against the supernatural at one time in their ignorance to know the proper references from Scriptures that validate these are from God.

First off, it's true according to God's Word that there is a sin that cannot be forgiven, and that of course is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Scriptures show us that we can speak against the Father and the Son of God who are in heaven and it will be forgiven, but Scripture also tells us, that if we should speak against the Holy Spirit who is presently among us in such a blasphemous manner to associate Him to the devil would not ever be forgiven in this life or the life to come. There are many Christians today that fear that they may have committed this unpardonable sin, and therefore, remain in enormous torment within their minds because of the devil pressing this point to them in the form of guilt that they feel alienated from God, but I believe rarely are these assessments correct in most cases. Therefore, here is the more correct way in understanding this passage found in (Matt. 12:32) that we are referring to.

These religious leaders were men who knew without a doubt that Jesus was of God, because no man could do such things that He was demonstrating, accept God be with Him. Nicodemus gives us the evidence to this fact that the teachers knew He was of God (John 3:2). That is important to note here if we are to see this Scripture properly without it producing condemnation within us. In other words, the Father, and now Jesus after His ascension are in their heavenly place invisible to earthly eyes, whereas, the Holy Spirit is a present day force and power among us which can be seen and heard right now. As a matter of fact, no one can come to the Father without the important role of the Holy Spirit who draws us near to the Father of lights. Therefore, to speak against that which you have never seen cannot be an unforgivable sin. Simply, because none of us have seen the invisible God (Job 23:8; Col. 1:15) we could therefore, not be held accountable for that infraction through our ignorance in speaking against what we have actually not seen.

But to refute and even discourage others to believe in the works of the Holy Spirit that are present in our midst which can be seen outwardly, and attribute them to the work of the devil when there is evidence Scripturally that this could only be a work of God, is to out-right denounce His divine essence among us. These folks choose not to believe though He reveals Himself to them. These religious leaders were like that, they knew they were resisting the Holy Spirit of God, but they loved their religious positions more, enough so, that they were willing to slander Him as being a devil, therefore, their deliberate pronouncements in opposition to the Holy Spirit and His holy and divine nature, is to denounce Him openly, therefore, condemning their souls to hell as reprobates. That is the blasphemy which the Scriptures teach is unforgivable.

Therefore, they committed this unpardonable sin by attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to Satan, because they were losing their following when Jesus came on the scene demonstrating all power of the Holy Spirit openly. That was their sin, they loved their religious position so much that they were not willing to become less positionally, that Jesus may become Lord of all. John the Baptist said that he must decrease, that Jesus might increase. But, these religious leaders were willing to lie and distort the credibility of the Holy Spirit in Christ because He was drawing all men unto Himself and they were losing their power of influence over the people. These religious leaders knew full well that Jesus was of God because of the work of the Holy Spirit working through Him, and yet they deliberately spoke against those holy demonstrations of power for the sake of their own prominence to reign over others.

It is here that they hardened their hearts and called the works that He was performing through the Holy Spirit, of the devil. I shared this part simply, because so many have been disenfranchised through religion about the works and activities of the Holy Spirit. Even to the point that many may have felt that they have possibly committed this unpardonable sin in their life. Yet, to have done so, you would have had to known fully with understanding that the Holy Spirit of God was manifesting His power to destroy the works of the devil, but you chose to attribute His works to Satan because you wanted to reign and rule supreme over your own life at the expense of denouncing Him as the true God. If we are unwilling to acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the presence of God Almighty who is among us, and would rather rebel against Him by attributing His works to the devil, then you might be in trouble. But like I said earlier, I don't believe there are many that have really done this in out-right defiance to His Deity. Therefore, I doubt that few Christians have ever really gone to this depth of blasphemy by which this speaks to.

Now, let's look at something else on this subject of miracles that we are devoted to within this study today. Miracles have not passed away with the first apostles as many groups and denominations seem to promote and teach their congregations each week around the world. Preaching and teaching a powerless gospel, which by the way, is not the gospel of Christ that the apostle Paul preached, nor should we. You can't just reference miracles because they are written within the pages of the Bible, and yet, always speak against them as not being for today for lack of them manifesting in your life. That is what the Bible calls double-mindedness, which that man should not think for a moment he will receive anything from God within that frame of mind. There is such a deluge of doctrinal mistakes being induced upon God's people because of church leaders who have no experience in the workings of supernatural power in the Holy Ghost. Therefore, they teach from a position of doubt, that it is no longer for today, or at best when some cases a miracle does happen, they explain that God may do some things every now and then at His discretion, but nothing on a consistent basis should be expected; and certainly no one person should think that he or she can invoke such miracles at will.

What a poor assessment for any leader to water down the Word of God to fit his own lack of obtainment in the miraculous. These kinds of church leaders will paralyze their parishioners and keep them living beneath their privileges in God. I wonder what other things in the Word that are not working in their life that they are willing to explain away in order to remain a teacher to their followers. It was Jesus who said that we would do the miraculous works that He did, and even greater now that we have received power from on high. Is the Word of God infallible? Then why are we changing it just because for the moment some haven't experienced the manifestations of a real miracle. Is the name of Jesus any less powerful today then it was in the early church? Then we should not lessen its impact and power today in order to explain to others our own lack of performance in those things which it declares we should be operating in as the children of God. Let's read another Scripture of the accounts of Christ doing miracles.

John 4:46-53 (KJV)
46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house

Here we find a nobleman who sought that he might have Jesus the miracle worker come to his house and heal his son who was at the point of death. Yet, listen to what Jesus spoke to him,
"Except you see signs and wonders, ye will not believe." The nobleman hearing this cried, "Sir, come with me now before he dies!" I believe because we are not acquainted with the Holy Spirit and the revelatory details of His miraculous works, that we get desperate and forget what manner of men and women that we are born of in Christ. We often call out in panic for a miracle to come to us from somewhere outside of us, rather than speaking from an inspired utterance of miracles to come forth as we speak them out of our mouth. Therefore, this nobleman was being rebuked in a round about way for having a, "I know you can" faith, instead of a, "I know you did" kind of faith. There are many Christians today that know full well that Jesus Christ can do all things. But, there are fewer who know that they personally can do all things through Christ. In verse 50, Jesus tells the nobleman to,  "Go your way, your son lives." It then goes on to say that the nobleman believed the Word that Jesus had spoken to him and went his way.

Now if we contrast this account of the nobleman with the Centurions' story (Luke 7:1-10), we will discover some amazing insight. The Centurion, if you will recall approached Jesus needing a healing for his servant whom he loved very much. When Jesus attempted to go with him to his house, the Centurion told Jesus there was no need for Him to enter into his home for he was not worthy to receive Him, but just speak the Word; for he himself was a man under authority, as well as, a commander who gave orders and they were followed completely as he commanded. Therefore, recognizing that Jesus had authority to just speak the Word, he knew his servant would be healed. Jesus was so impressed with this Centurion's faith that he marveled, that He had not seen such faith in all Israel.

Therefore, considering the nobleman who first came as a beggar, eventually left with a believing heart because he believed the Word, but not as deeply until he was able to confirm it with his own eyes (John 4:52-53), then it says that he and his household believed. Jesus always sends us with a miracle, not looking for one! Ponder on these Words of Jesus to this nobleman, "Go thy way, your son lives." Let me ask you something personal today. Would you deeply believe the Lord's Word once you could confirm that it produced a genuine miracle, or, would you be like the Centurion who knew Jesus' Word had authority the moment it was spoken that it would be accomplished? What is it that you are believing for? What is it that has you afraid and worried? There is a Word that you can speak from the inspired utterance of miracles within you. This inspiration comes from believing the Word of God that was sent to heal us and deliver us from our destruction. Can you hear those Words of Christ speaking within you? If so, it might sound something like this. Go your way, your debts have been canceled!!! Go your way, your body is healed!!! Go your way, your relationship has been restored!!! Go your way, your mind is made whole!!! Go your way, your child lives!!! Glory to our God who put miracles in our mouth!!! We need to be like the Centurion who believed on the Word and its authority to perform when it was spoken, instead of the nobleman who would not believe until he had seen the signs and wonders then he would believe. I pray you will hear our Master's voice speaking from within you the inspired utterance of miracles. They will be on your lips. Speak them and doubt not their power to produce. Go thy way, your [fill in the blank]! Our God is a great God of miraculous miracles! Amen!

Pastor Kim"What's In Your Hands"

John 6:7-9
7 Philip replied, "Even if we worked for months, we wouldn't have enough money to feed them!"8 Then Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up. 9 "There's a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?" 11 Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted.

The disciples are contrasted with the youngster who brought what he had. They certainly had more resources than the boy, but they knew they didn't have enough, so they didn't give anything at all. The boy gave what little he had, and it made all the difference. If we offer nothing to God, he will have nothing to use. But he can take what little we have and turn it into something great.

These scriptures should encourage all of us today with the difficult times that we are facing. Jesus demonstrated his power to his disciples by showing them that he could take something so small and turn into more than enough. I had my own experience this past weekend that I want to share with you. I had planned on making dinner for our staff at youth camp when I discovered I didn't have enough chicken. I began looking all through the freezer for another bag all the while holding a box in my hand, I was just about to give up when I heard "it's your hand."

It's here that I looked down and I realized that the box I was holding had four chicken breast in it. I stood there amazed, and I knew God was trying to show me through this simple illustration that he had already provided for me. This may seem very small to you, but if we can begin to trust Him in the small things, He will show us the greatness of His power working in all of our lives. My Grandfather used to always say "little is much, if God is in it," his word's still echo in my heart today. What's in your hands?
