Have you ever noticed how every time that you stand on a promise from God's Word that great threatenings come around to oppose what you are believing for? Many times we experience these hindrances to the Word of promise due to the aggression of our enemy that is adamant to stop them from materializing in our life, or someone that we are praying for. Our adversary always uses his strategies to undermine the potential of the possibilities of what God can do if we don't doubt. Sadly, too many let go when things heat up around them, and therefore, never realize what they could have had if they would have stayed their course and continued to believe.
I woke up Sunday morning and the Lord began to speak to me directly about these things which we will be dedicated to studying within this devotional. We can never walk in the supernatural effectively until we are confident enough to speak boldly to the resisting forces that are there to stop it from happening. In most peoples minds there is this ridiculous and lethargic idea that God will do it for us if it is His will. However, the Scriptures teach us that we are to deliberately exercise our delegated authority in Christ by using the provision of God's Word, and thereby, enforce its creative power to produce what the Scriptures teach as a promise. The people of God have gotten real lazy in their approach to God, and the evidence is witnessed in the lack of receiving His promises. How a person approaches God will determine what he receives from Him. It seems the logic that has been taught in many churches today leaves one to believe that God will do it if He wants it done, and if He doesn't, it was not His will to start with. That is clearly ignorance that has gone to seed. The Bible teaches that God is not willing that any should perish. Therefore, let us ask the question. Are there any people perishing if its not God's will? Of course there is. Why? Because either that person rejects the truth altogether, or that truth is diluted with some other worldly logic that corrupts the seed of God's Word within that individual; and they remain uncultivated within their mind which keeps them from receiving it in their heart.
The point is simply, that you and I are to operate in conjunction with the Anointing and what the Word of God teaches without doubting. Anything otherwise, is to attempt to receive by way of another entrance which is not legal. Opposition will keep most believers at a distance from ever receiving the promises that are written and sealed in God's Word. These promises declare the truth with a resounding yes; and an Amen! However, people naturally do not like confrontation, therefore, they will avoid all resistance if possible even if it cheats them out of something, or destroys their life altogether. This is because they have been taught in error by well meaning preachers to walk in [cowardly] love no matter what; nevertheless, they are ill-equipped in the Scriptures, which brings great harm to those they teach, and even to them who teach it. Christians are not to be doormats for the devil to wipe his feet on. The devil has been placed under our feet because of Christ victory on Calvary, but you will have to enforce it! You will have to keep the devil in his place if you want to advance into the supernatural.
Our enemy is not flesh and blood as many think. Which is why so many are always bitter and mad at people instead of recognizing that it is the work of the devil. Uninformed people just get taken advantage of by the enemy who coerces them to impart his evil in this world. The devil is a calculating deceiver who manipulates and lies in order to invade what he desires for himself even though he has no right to it. This is why we are told in Scripture not to be ignorant of the devils devices, strategies and tricks. I want us to look at a passage of Scripture which is found in the fourth chapter of Acts. Now, here we find Peter standing up and praying out loud after he and John experienced great opposition to their effective ministry which the religious leaders were jealous of, because their own influence and popularity was dwindling. Look what it says.
Acts 4:29-30 (KJV)
29 And now, Lord, behold their threatening: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30 By stretching forth thin hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
Notice that Peter pointed out their threatening [the opposers]within his prayer to God. Nevertheless, he continued to ask God for His assistance by granting him to speak the Word with boldness, and backing it with an out stretched hand that releases divine healing, along with signs and wonders. Peter, had to be confident in speaking the Word with boldness, and aware of how the Anointing is moving through that form of delivery within him. We must also take note that that prayer must have pleased God because notice what the next verse says.
Acts 4:31 (KJV)
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they sake the word of God with boldness.
When a believer in Christ has the Word living in them there will always be a demonstration of power that exceeds way beyond just words spoken out loudly. Boldness does not mean that we yell at something. People yell at things all the time when they are afraid, but it does not mean they know what to do in that situation. On the contrary, the believer who knows the Word and is led by the Spirit; will enforce the Words of Christ in their present situation and they will see signs following. Boldness that rises in us from knowing God's Word will empower us to speak from a position of authority. This will enable us to speak with boldness, which in fact, introduces the supernatural to the onlookers, or those who are in need of that impartation within their life. Those who oppose the works of God are simply people that do not recognize or understand the ways of God. They are more apt to lean on their own understanding, which is their logic and reasoning that they have received from this world. Their investments have all been through the vein of the natural. Therefore, their thought life has never been conditioned to accept the supernatural. Much less to believe it can be a constant way of life to those who believe.
I awoke this morning with a thought that God had supplied to me in the night and I wrote it down. This explains with clarity of why there are much more opposers to the supernatural then there are who believe it. Here is what the Lord spoke to my spirit in light of this teaching.
"The reason the naysayers are much bolder than many of my people is that their confidence rests in the circumstances that already exist. There is no faith needed to exert themselves in, because their basis for bold confidence is established in what is already present, though it is negative in nature. On the other hand, the believer in Christ, has to fight the good fight of faith. He must stand against those who are boldly opposing the supernatural outcome that you are standing for. The doubter has these certain manifestations present right now, which empowers their belief or position in which they argue from. In other words, look at the cancer that the doctors report says you have; you know everyone dies when they are at that stage of the disease. That is all they can see or believe. The believer on the other hand, must keep their eye on the promise that these naysayers cannot see. This will never be easy to do if the naysayers boldness in how they see things ever trumps your boldness to believe on my Word; which is why many of my people give up before the promise comes."
I tell you the devil will always dispatch his messengers wherever the Word of God is being believed and acted on. You need to understand that the devil will get very loud and rude as he promotes his death sentence over the Christian that is believing for a supernatural answer. This is the reason we must be knowledgeable of God's Word, so that you have a basis for exercising the authority that creates in you the boldness to speak without fear to the mountain that wishes to oppose your resolve. It doesn't matter that they can't see it at present, but it does matter if you can! Father, grant us that truly believe in your Words, to speak from it with boldness that there may be an activity of that same Word in this life. Cause our boldness in Christ, to introduce to this unbelieving world that all things are possible to those who believe.
