There are many folks today who simply profess to be Christians, yet they rarely understand the magnitude of just what it is that Jesus accomplished for them through His gift of salvation. I dare say that many will argue that they are with the full understanding of what that means. For some and more probable for most, it means that they will not die and go to hell, because Jesus has forgiven them of their sins. I believe that too; however, there is much more to it than just being saved from a place called hell. Let us explore this much deeper so that we may get a broader sense of what the Lord did in fact reserve for us that believe in Him.
 
We that have placed our lives in the Lord's hands realize that He is our Savior without question. However, I desire that people everywhere will come to know Him beyond just being their Savior. What I mean is that there is much more that He offers those who make Him Lord of their life. If Jesus is only our Savior and not our Lord, then we will not put much focus on our daily progress in light of His principles, which we are to live by as believers. If the mindset of Jesus being only our Savior evolves without the conviction to follow Him; then we will not serve, pray or read God's Word with any desire, passion, or with any consistency in our life. Jesus will merely become a hazard or a life insurance policy to fall back on when trouble or death is imminent.
