Greetings!
Happy New Year!! I wish you a fun and safe New Year's celebration and a healthy, prosperous 2008.
2008 is going to be a year full of changes for me. I'm getting married in the next few weeks and moving to my fiance's home. In light of this, my townhome is for sale.
Should you be interested in purchasing my home, please contact me by either email or cell phone, 717.471.6519. Or if you know someone who is looking for a home, please forward this newsletter to him/her. Thanks!

So -- this newsletter will be about my townhome and the wall finishes in it. ...
Located in 'The Townes of
Springford Village', just off of Nyes Road in Lower Paxton Township, my townhome is in a great location --- 2 miles from the shopping areas of Colonial Park, 4 miles
from the Harrisburg Wal-Mart/Sam's Club, 10 minutes tops to downtown Harrisburg,
5 miles "as the crow flies" to Hershey/Hummelstown. It's 2.5 miles off the
Paxtonia exit of I-81, just a little over .5 miles to Union Deposit Road, which
takes one to the PA Turnpike, Rt. 283 and I-83. It's all about
'location, location, location" and this is in a good one!!!
Built in 1998, the contemporary style boasts
2657 square feet of living space (includes finished basement). It has- 3 bedrooms (1st floor master with built-in closet organizers, Jack & Jill bath between two BR on 2nd floor),
- 2.5 baths (Master bath has double sinks and oversized shower),
- Dining room/Living room w/ vaulted two story ceiling, corner gas fireplace with dryvit plaster wall, French doors to large deck,
- large
eat-in kitchen with upgraded cabinetry and all appliances, pergo flooring,
- 2nd floor laundry w/ washer/dryer and built-in shelving,
- Loft overlooking LR
- finished walk-out basement with landscaped fenced yard, berber carpet
- walk-in closets, lots of storage in basement
- two car garage.
- It is also an END unit!
And on top of that --- being the home of an artist/wall finisher ---- there are
wonderful high-end wall finishes throughout the home!!! It's beautiful inside. I wish I could take it with me!!

The Kitchen

The walls in the kitchen compliment each other -- two walls are done in a champagne colored lustrous plaster, giving them a satiny suede appearance.
The other walls are done by troweling several different kinds and colors of plasters in many layers. The cobalt blue plaster was used as the base coat, with a champagne metallic plaster troweled over the blue, then scatterings of black plaster. The finish was completed by two layers of a translucent white plaster.
The other specialty finish in the kitchen is the faux tile backsplash. What was a plain white wall when I moved in is now a brown metallic tile look, made by laying out the grid, applying the plasters, coloring the 'tiles' and grouting them.

THE POWDER ROOM
This is my personal favorite room in the house because it takes me to the Wild West. I have it accessorized with a longhorn bull towel ring, a painting of a cowgirl and her horse and other 'western' artifacts that I'll take with me. What will be left are the highly textured, tequila sunrise colored walls, the rustic light fixture and distressed cabinetry, door and wood trim. It all works with the marbled countertop.

Also of unique design is the toilet seat and tank cover, which are covered with torn paper and well sealed for durability.

2nd Floor Loft and Hallway
|

The loft has become the "toy area" for my grandsons -- keeps the clutter out of the other rooms. The skylight area is finished with the same terraneo that is on the fireplace wall. |
 |
2nd Floor Hallway and Loft The upstairs hallway and loft are finished with a white plaster finish. It's a great finish when one wants to be subtle. It gives dimension to the walls while extending the openness of the loft and open hallway.

THE BASEMENT -- my office and studio area
The basement is L-shaped -- I use this area as a client consultation spot. My office area is in "the other wing" of the basement and the walls around my desk are finished in a red torn paper "Leather" look.
The basement is finished and opens to the fenced backyard -- great for keeping kids and pets at home. There are two very large storage rooms in the basement plus "under the steps" storage space.

Other areas:
Many of my friends say this is their favorite finish in my home. It adorns the stairwell walls leading to the
basement and is a many layered knocked-down Lusterstone finish that renders an aged wall in various shades of taupe and champagne.
