SENIOR HOME SALE QUESTIONS FOR PENNY

PROVIDER'S QUESTION

What do you do when the senior client has no family in
the area? How do you accommodate this lack of
support?

PENNY'S ANSWER:

That's a great question, and we have helped many
seniors who
do not have family in the area. There are two things that
we do to make sure the downsizing experience is easy
and comfortable. One, we involve their care
providers,
neighbors, friends and other professionals to build a
support team around them. Two, we step up our
services to ensure that none of their needs go
unattended.
Call us with your clients' specific situations and we'll tell
you how we can help.

A Summer Cyber-Rest for SASH's Ezine

In the months of June, July, and August '07, our monthly
e-zine will be on a hiatus. We look forward to the
opportunity to make some practical upgrades to the
content and layout of our monthly senior provider
e-newsletter, so that it can be even more effective as a
networking and informational tool. We'll also be updating
our distribution list to make it specific to geographical
areas.
Send us your ideas and suggestions
for how we
can make it more interactive and relevant for you.

Have
an enjoyable summer, and we'll see you at the
coming
events!

RSVP Volunteer Recognition Breakfast
It is inspiring and wonderful to see seniors "giving back" to the community with their time, energy, and resources. You can be a part of honoring them at the annual King County RSVP Recognition Breakfast. This year the event will be held at Emerald Downs on Tuesday, October 16th, where 500 senior volunteers are expected to attend. There are many ways to participate in the event, as a vendor, sponsor, advertiser, volunteer, or donor!
RSVP's Mission is to meet critical community needs by linking people 55 and older with volunteer opportunities that respond to those needs, and to support and recognize their service.

FEATURED SENIOR SERVICE

Door To Door Storage, Inc.
Gone are the days when everything had to be
packed and moved in a single weekend! Our senior
clients do not want to be rushed, and Door To Door
Storage offers a great solution for sorting, packing, and
storing on their own timeline. A container is brought to
the senior's home, with easy, no-step access inside.
Once it's full (and this can take days or weeks!), it's
picked up from the home and taken to a convenient
storage facility or to the senior's next residence. This is
a great idea for those long projects.
