SENIOR HOME SALE QUESTIONS FOR PENNY

PROVIDER'S QUESTION

Exactly how "as-is" can a house be for you to buy it?
What if the senior's home is practically falling over?

PENNY'S ANSWER:

The best answer is that we will consider every home,
from pristine condition to the worst fixer! However,
SASH's ability to buy the home depends if it is a mobile
home or a "stick-built" home. With stick-built homes,
which fill most of the neighborhoods of Seattle, we can
buy no matter how much maintenance has been
deferred, as long as both the home and the land under it
are owned. With a mobile home on leased land, SASH
can buy it only if the home can be remodeled and
improved without becoming cost-prohibitive. Call and
ask - we are here to help, and we can give you an
answer based on each specific situation!

Here's why seniors put off the downsize as long as
possible: Nearly 90 percent of seniors want to
stay
in their own homes - even if they need ongoing
assistance or ongoing medical care. Fewer than 4
percent would prefer living with a relative.
